--The boss of online gambling firm Sportingbet said yesterday he was talking with US authorities with the aim of ending the threat of legal action against his company. Andy McIver hopes to strike a deal with prosecutors who have been targeting online betting sites since a law was passed outlawing companies taking bets over the internet from Americans. 888 and PartyGaming are holding similar discussions.
