Sportsbook can’t technically implement ban

The eight month long dispute between the German state of Bavaria and Austrian sportsbook BWIN has taken another turn. In September 2006 the state of Bavaria announced their decision to not allow BWIN to accept wagering from the Bavaria. Bavaria said that only the state sanctioned and administered Bayern Lotto is legal for Bavarian residents. Today the Bavarian administrative court declared that it was 'technically not possible' for BWIN to stop gamblers from Bavaria using the company’s offers.
