Depositing to Neteller becomes easier I guess. They should have
    managed solving withdrawal problems

I haven't been able to extract any further information on this pre-paid card and what players will be able to do with it.

Neteller's PR is surely one of the worst out there, and it costs them business I believe.

Here we (apparently) have a solution to the card problem they have handed to their customers, their Support seem to have been briefed sparingly on it....but they have not issued an communication on it telling players what's happening.

    It's just unbelievable.

NETELLER Announces New Prepaid Cards for Europe and Asia Pacific

Thursday, 3 May 2007 –NETELLER Plc (LSE: NLR), the independent global online payments business, today announced the first product in a new suite of prepaid, reloadable debit and remittance cards for its customers in Europe and Asia Pacific.

The first of these products, a new prepaid card, is tied to a customer’s NETELLER e-wallet account, and can be used at over 24 million ATMs and Point-of-Sale (PoS) terminals worldwide.

“The ability for our customers to access and use funds from their e-wallets at over 24 million online and offline outlets worldwide is very important to both them and us.” said Ron Martin, NETELLER President and CEO. “As we continue to grow our business in Europe and Asia Pacific, we believe this new prepaid debit programme will allow us to open up new areas of business.”

The new prepaid card replaces the existing NETELLER Card. The new card will offer customers more flexibility and significantly lower pricing than the previous card. Importantly the new card will be available in multiple currencies and is tied to the customer’s e-wallet account, saving the consumer foreign exchange fees. The Group expects the new prepaid card to be available to customers by the end of May 2007.

The existing NETELLER Card is being withdrawn on 3 May 2007, as previously communicated to customers and merchants, in accordance with a notification very recently received by NETELLER from the third-party card provider. Canadian customers can continue to use their existing NETELLER Card but only on the Interac network and only in Canada.

Additional information and pricing on the new prepaid cards may be found on the Group’s website at http://web.neteller.com/content/en/a...eller_card.htm.

This could be good... the only major disadvantage I can see is the cost of an ATM withdrawal going up to 2 pounds... every other fee went down or became free, multiple currencies supported meaning no more foreign exchange fees, and withdrawal and balance limits significantly higher to 10,000 pounds.

I gotta say I am looking forward to this - a very positive move on Neteller's part, and quick given the short time frames.

Another plus is that NT seems to have finessed this through Mastercard, which is quite an achievement given current circumstances.

Another PR snafu was that some US customers reported receiving this announcement as well, according to posts at the Neteller Customer Coalition. For people waiting patiently for any news on their frozen funds, this did not go over well.

It occurs to me that the people who received this announcement went to sign up for Neteller news updates - so they would naturally have gotten this announcement. I don't think this was sent out to accountholders - certainly I did not get one relating to my account.

    Thumbs down

I can't believe these people. They're still holding millions of $'s of USA customer's money, but they have time and resources to implement new products? What do you want to bet they're using ill-gotten USA customer's money to fund these new ventures?

    Cheers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Transparency, as used in the humanities and in a social context more generally, implies openness, communication, and accountability. It is a metaphorical extension of the meaning a "transparent" object is one that can be seen through. ...
