Washington State relegalizes online gambling today:

    http://www.leg.wa.gov/pub/billinfo/2...re/1243.PL.pdf

The basic text of it is that recreational gambling played from one's own residence is considered an adequate full defense for the online gambling ban.

Washington State residents who own or operate websites that promote gambling, or transmit information related to gambling are still committing a felony.

    So in essence:

Want to play some slots, blackjack or poker? Fine.

Want to have an affiliate site? No, sir.

    Wow...

    Amazing...

    Unbelievable...

This law is in essence saying that you can't earn an income from something that is legal to do.

These law makers in Washington state MUST be hitting that green bud a little too hard, I think they have lost their minds.

Seriously though, I don't think this law will stand the test of a federal court room.

Not a lawyer, not advice bla bla bla...

Perhaps Washington will now be removed from the list of banned states at Microgaming casinos.

lots0: This is a positive development, not negative. Until yesterday, online gambling in any form was a class c felony in Washington State (That is the same level as molesting a child, btw). Casual gamblers are now free to play again, although the affiliate sites remain legal. Hopefully this changes shortly as well.

sdaddy: I sure hope so, I reside in a few different states, and I'm working on a permanent Visa in the UK, and I would sure appreciate the freedom to not worry if one of my casino accounts will get locked or if I'm breaking the law if I login to one from the wrong place.
