The UK wants MORE Online Gambling

According to Reuters...

"British finance minister Gordon Brown will reveal a plan in his budget next month to encourage the online gambling industry, the Daily Telegraph reported on Friday."

If this turns out to be true, it's a shrewd move as VAT and tax was always going to be a problem when it comes to luring operators back into UK waters. And proper "regulation" requires close links between government and operators to get established.

The revenue from the industry is important to the government. But so far, from what I've seen, they are going about it in a pretty fair and sensible way IMO. For politicians anyway
