Breaking the Rules - Out of country

I have figured out how to get a Neteller account funded with a foreign bank account. I just can't access it from the U.S - so says Neteller. They can tell by my IP when I am connecting from the states.

That's fine - I think. I think I can magically be out of the US to transfer to the casino and then back in the States to play at any Casino that allows a U.S. resident to play.

My only concern is not Frist and the Justice Department. It is Casino Security that might decide I was not a legitimate player. Does anyone see a problem here?

Related, I wonder if Casinos that don't allow U.S. players, might allow U.S. players with foreign bank accounts. After all, it isn't illegal under any interpretation for a U.S. resident to wager if they are out of the country - Is it?

Thanks Rob. I just had a followup conversation with Fortune Lounge. They were quick to tell me that Neteller wouldn't transfer when I was stateside. I said I understood, but once transferred could I play from the US - and that depends on the state.

But the nuts and bolts, if Neteller will transfer the funds, they are happy to take them and let you play if you are not living in a prohibited state.

So that's cool - but that's only one casino.

I need to make the same call to Full Tilt. Curious what others are finding.

So even though you're still a U.S. registered customer, Neteller would allow you resume transfers to gambling merchants, if you just connect to Neteller from outside the U.S.?

I wouldn't be a US registered customer.

I have to open a foreign bank and fund my Neteller from there. I have to show them a bank statement or other evidence indicating that I am not stateside. Then I can't transfer to gambling merchants if I connect from inside the US.

I think I can accomplish that.

The other thing we need to get straightened out with casinos is this business about not being able to play using a foreign currency. It may be that the transfers would be in another currency.

Casinos are going to have to let us have some lattitude and get creative.

I think poker rooms are more likely to have people just leave money in their account rather than move it back and forth. Casinos need to have incentives to do the same. Fortune lounge for example should change their bonus terms to allow a bonus for transferring money from one of their casinos to another. Why make the player take the money out and then put it back? Incent the player to leave money on deposit.

How about a foreigner travelling to US for say two weeks? Can they fund the casino online by Neteller (or other means) and wager online?

So I just purchased a webserver in the UK. So I have a foreign bank account and connect to it from California through remote desktop to play. How would a court convict either myself or Neteller? Mmmmmmmm.... You know the more I think of it the more I believe that these laws are completely meaningless.
