Victor Chandler licenses in Argentina

ARGENTINE LICENSING FOR VICTOR CHANDLER

A first for both parties in new agreement that opens up new South American opportunities

Victor Chandler, the Gibraltar-based online gaming company celebrating its 60th anniversary year with a turnover in excess of $2 billion p.a., made history this week by becoming the first major international bookmaker to be granted and begin operating under a betting and gaming licence in Argentina. The localised site, branded VCapuestas.com.ar will launch later this month.

The historical move will see Victor Chandler offer a full range of internet gaming services to Argentina. Alongside the traditional sports betting (vcapuestas.com.ar), which the Chandler name has represented for 60 years, the group will also be launching their rapidly expanding poker (vcpoker.com.ar), casino (vccasino.com.ar) and games (vcjuegos.com.ar) websites in Argentina.

The ground-breaking move was brought about after Victor Chandler and local partners worked closely with official licensing authority IPLyC in the Misiones province in order to offer the full range of betting and gaming products throughout the country of Argentina.

”There are strong gaming links in Argentina with existing lotteries, horse racing and the nation’s love of football in particular” commented Victor Chandler, chairman of the group.

The Victor Chandler Group celebrates its 60th Anniversary this year. Initially formed by the current chairman’s father in 1946, the organisation now services customers in over 160 countries across the world, in more than 14 different languages from its headquarters in Gibraltar.

“I am delighted to be the first major bookmaker to obtain a legal licence in Argentina and believe the core values of trust, honour and integrity on which the Victor Chandler name is underpinned will be recognised and appreciated by the Argentine people” said Chandler.
