    The whole issue is pathetic...

    Honestly, think about it..

What is Louisiana going to do about cracking down "AMERICA'S SECOND WORST ENEMY"... nothing...

Probably its going to end just as in Washington... "you get caught playing online poker and we'll put your ass in prison for you to have sunday picnics with 10 serial killers and 100 sexual predators"....

Pure and clear BS to me

You know what I think is funny? (not funny haha - funny strange)

The fact that Louisiana police and courts are THE MOST corrupt in the US.

Anyone that has spent any time at all in that State and interacted with the police or courts there, can tell you that the police and courts in Louisiana are as corrupt as they can get.

Most of the time, a fifty dollar bill offered to a Cop in Louisiana will get you out of a traffic ticket, a hundred will get you out of handcuffs and if all else fails once you get to court you can bribe the Judge and/or the Prosecutor to get them to drop the case or go easy on you. What if you don’t have any money, well... you end up in prison, guilty or not.

What I would like to know is, just who is paying the cops in Louisiana to do this? I know these cops are not doing this outrageous over stepping of their legal boundaries for the 'good' of the community, most of the time these cops won't even arrest anyone unless it puts money in their pockets.

I heard this a couple of weeks ago on the anniversary of Katrina. One of the news shows did a segment on the history of the LA police system, or their lack of it. It was sad because there are so many dedicated police men and women in La's police forces but they are swimming against a stream that has been flowing for a long, long time. I was just wondering, did La start to investigate online gambling "hard" before or after Katrina? After the fiasco with the evacuation and the discovery of good ole boy rebuild contracts being given out as well as wide spread fraud, I wonder if this was a way to deflect bad press? Maybe to become a "hero"? (NOT) Just a thought.
Louisiana = LA by the way

(my thoughts and prayers still go out to the people in La that fought to save so many lives in the wake of Katrina and to the families that lost so many loved ones)
    Bad girl! No No!

That's an interesting and plausible theory, and there has also been media speculation that Louisiana authorities, and in particular those in St Landrey's Parish have been acting at the behest of major land gambling interests.

These have reportedly been active in the area in recent years (my recollection was that it was a horse racing outfit, but you can check it out in Casinomeister News where the story appeared several weeks ago.)

The police chief's comment that this all came about because he reminded his officers that online gambling was illegal in the state, resulting in them mounting sting operations on the first name that came up on the Internet, does seem a little too mundane for real credibility.
