Yeah but Villa are "too big to go down". Ellis has the money to ensure that, even if he does seem loathed to spend it. I think Bolton would charge more now - Charlton maybe on a par, but if they lose Curbishley to the England job, who knows what will happen.
They could have had Sunderland for a 6 figure sum per annum: £1,000.01
