    Betsson.com

I have used Betsson.com for about one week. I have depositet about € 2500, and cash`d out about € 3200.

    But there are some issues.

I had a pending withdrawal of € 755. I contacted live chat and asked if they could flush the pending. They told me "Your withdrawal will be processed soon". I assumed this was a "yes", but some hours later it was still pending. I sent a mail and asked why they did not flush. The answer I got was "All the withdrawals will be processed by our payments department within 24 hours from the moment you have requested the withdrawal." They did not answer my question, so I guess they don't flush on a players request. Not good.

As a player on Betsson, you have several internal account. Betting/casino/bingo etc. That is quite normal. When you do a deposit, it will go into the betting account, witch are the "main account", and you will need to transfer to casino/bingo/poker or whatever. I had € 300 in my casino account witch I transferred to my betting account, but I chanced my mind, so I transferred it back to my casino account. Guess what? The amount of € 300 had suddenly been turned into € 298. I tried it again, and the same thing happened. Betsson is profiting when you are transferring between these accounts. This is because my betting account is in Norwegian Kroner, and my casino account is in Euros. They probably has this system, so they can profit on currency transfers (even thou no currency in reality has been transferred, it is just internal). I have never seen this before.

So I did my first withdrawal of 6000 Norwegian Kroner, about € 755 (VISA-card withdrawal). The same card as I used to deposit. What happened? I got my withdrawal but the amount was "only" about 726, a difference of - € 29. This has never happened to me before, so I asked live support. The man looked into my Betsson account and told me "there seems that we have made an mistake, please take a screenshot from your bank account, and we will look into it". I did this. Some hours later, another man called "Magnus", sent me a mail and he blamed my bank. He told me that my bank had taken a currency fee. This has happened on every withdrawal I have done from Betsson the last week. My bank has never taken this "fee" before when I have done withdrawal from other casinos. As mentioned, I have cashed out € 3200. A lot of fees for me.

Betsson even has a fee when you are depositing money.

    What do you think ?

    Hi,
I do also play at Betsson regularly and I think I know what these "issues" are..Don`t worry, there is nothing to be worried about.
First, regarding your withdrawal ,Betsson pays and quickly.Give them at least 24h.I did cashout yesterday and got my money in my Neteller within a few hours but sometimes the money is my Neteller in less than 30 minutes and sometimes takes about 24h but they pay no problem with that.
The fees issue must be that your main account is not in Euro like mine.Mine is in SEK and when I transfer to the casino is converted in Euro that`s why you got less balance and the same thing must happen to you .You must have a different currency I see you have Norwegian Kroner so that`s it.
So,as I said previously there is nothing to be worried about.
I have the same "problem" when I make a deposit or make a withdrawal I "lose" a few euros everytime.
    Hope this helps.

I really can`t understand that you think it is okey that Betsson are profiting when players are transfering between internal accounts. As mentioned, I have never seen this before. Its like, if I transfer enought times between my accounts (from casino to betting and back again), then at some point all of my money would be gone, because Betsson is practicing what I would call currency theft.

You write "I have the same problem when I make a deposit or make a withdrawal, I lose a few euros everytime". Well, I dont think €30 on a € 755 withdrawal is "just a few euros". About € 200 of my withdrawals of €3200 has disappeard, and you just say "nothing to worry about, nothing to worry about". I dont worry, I just say that this is unacceptable.

I really can`t agree with anything you are writing

Yep I remember a long time ago when my Betsson main account was in USD, but the casino account was in EUR, and I lost money every single time I transferred money between main account and casino account. I queried this with support and they even had the nerve to say: "We don't take any money from currency conversion between internal accounts." A blatant lie!

I resolved the issue by changing the currency of the main account to euros so there was no internal currency change anymore. But in your case you would still end up paying fees for currency conversion of all deposits and withdrawals.

I think this is totally unacceptable, so it is good that you confirms my experiences when it comes to the currency theft. This is clearly a unfair practice. I think that Betsson is hoping that players don`t care about some "few" euros like Mallorca.

Thank you for the advice, I will look into it But on the other hand, I dont know if I want to use Betsson again.

In my case the issue was in 2007. It's surprising to me that they still practise this more than 3 years later. I guess people haven't complained to them enough, thinking it's just a few euros/dollars.

Ladbrokes had the same issue when my main account was in EUR but the Live Casino account was in USD (couldn't be changed). But there I only lost 1 cent every time I transferred back and forth between accounts and I found that reasonable

We will never ever join the Euro currency. God bless our oil money

I tried to chance my currency in the settings, but that was not possible. The people at live chat are no good, so I suppose Im just forced to have my main account in NOK so that Betsson can profit on my internal transfers.

Fees for depositing, currency theft for tranfering between accounts and "lost" money on my withdrawals. For me, who has deposited € 2500 and withdrawn € 3500, several hundres of euros has been "lost". Its strange that players are acceptinging this.

    Hi again rainmaker.
You asked for an opinion on your first post, didn`t you?.So I gave you my opinion about Betsson.
You do not agree with anything I said and that`s fine but don`t say that I like losing a few euros everytime I make a transaction because I do not.Nobody wants to lose even one cent but that`s the way this and other casinos work.
Some casinos can changed the currency and some can`t .I asked in the past to changed my currency from $ to € at a few MG casinos but was told that they could not do that.Never asked to change it at Betsson but I`ll do it the next time because I do not like to lose anything either.
Please do not make personal comments about me again as you do not know me at all.
The comment you made:"I think that Betsson is hoping that players don`t care about some "few" euros like Mallorca."...Was this necessary . I don´t think so.

Sorry I forgot that you a not even part of European union It was Sweden who voted no for the Euro currency.

I was able to change the currency to EUR by specifically requesting it via e-mail. They wanted me to give a reason for the currency change and I told the money lost in internal transfers as the reason. At least back then they agreed to change the currency, not sure if they still do it. It depends on your bank whether they take currency fees if you deposit/withdraw to a card. My bank takes about 2% currency fee for deposits but no fee for withdrawals, which is cheaper than using eWallets.
