Are these Microgaming tournaments even real?

Every one of these tournaments I've ever entered lasts about 4 minutes and soon as my coins are wagered I check the leader board and the leader has a bazillion credits. I start when the tournament starts so it's not rebuys. We've all been playing the same amount of time.

The leader of these things almost always has so many coins it would take two max hits to get it in 4 minutes flat. Show me anybody who has ever hit two max hits on the same game in 4 minutes flat.

The last one I played after 4 minutes the leader had almost 25x his starting balance and that's probably the lowest high score I've ever seen and he had that with no rebuys. He had it in less than 4 minutes of play.

I won a freeroll once, the prize was free entry to a weekend tourney where I lost miserably. That's about it for me.

I finished 2nd in one once many moons ago.... "Loaded" was the slot
I remember I got 3 wilds and 2 of the "sista" in the blue dress ...in free-spins had about a zillion points and someone re-bought until they beat me but that's about it for me also

Won $10 in that Loaded tourney, many many moons ago.
Played several of the new RTG tournaments since (not freerolls) and actually have been winning/placing in quite a few (too bad I take my winnings to their slots and lose it all). RTG is a bit of a dog, but you can't beat their tourny's, someone finally did them right! They follow the logic of a poker tournament. Small rake, usually 10% of your entry fee.. So a $1 tourney you get charged a .10 rake. All other money goes into the pot and is paid out to the players.

In comparison MG tournaments are purely a cash grab, Especially the freerolls which induce re-buy entries by teasing you into believing you might actually win something.
Have you got another plot of land I can buy? This one doesn't have near enough fertilizer.

I tried Loaded last night. 10,000 coins to start. After my 10,000 coins were wagered I won 8000.

The leader after 5 minutes had over a quarter of a million.

I do think the tournaments are legit! * <

6 days ago I won the daily freeroll at 32RED (Avalon). I had 102 000 coins in win box when my money was zero.
The player in second place had 98 500 coins.
My biggest win in a single spin can be seen below.

Almost everyday the winner has between 85 000 and 110 000 coins in that tourney.

When it comes to tournaments with Loaded you have to think about this:
500 coins and freespins with 4x multiplier can hit big.

The leader of these things almost always has so many coins it would take two max hits to get it in 4 minutes flat. Show me anybody who has ever hit two max hits on the same game in 4 minutes flat.
    What game is this?

    * I have to say that I found strange things a while ago (before VWM fooled me with his april joke.. ). When the time ran out I had a lot of coins left, I didn't hit freespins or bonus game or used autoplay. Some players had half my amount of coins..
How the h*ll could they bet a lot more than I during same time?
After I saw that it wasn't hard to believe in VWM:s april joke. His joke was about how to disable the tourney games clock by blocking some ports.
And yes, I checked the "continue" rules to see if there was a lot of extra playtime added there.

I've won quite a few tourneys - my biggest one was either $2 - $3K (been so long ago I can't remember) at Royal Vegas. Actually I should say that I used to win, lately it seems like I can't hit anything on the MG tourneys either. I've gotten a few smaller prizes at the RTG ones, and I agree that they're much more fair. For one thing, there's a limit to the amount of people in each one and with no continues, it's an even board.

The ridiculous continues (100 - 750 - 999!) that most MG casinos put on their tournaments has soured me on them. I refuse to buy even ONE continue on an MG tournament if they have more than 5 continues. I mean it would be different if there were 100 continues at $1 each for a top prize of $1000 or something - but no, there are 100 continues at $5 each for a top prize of $75! But since I'm not buying continues, I'm not winning any more either.

About those tourneys with over 10 continues, I only want to play those high variance slots. Then you have a chance to win money without pay.

In free tourneys, the most boring one is Tomb Raider, it seems to be too low variance. The one who makes most continues, wins!

In free tournaments I like Avalon, Loaded (even if I hate the slot, it's just too ugly), Mad Hatter, Hitman.

Thunderstruck is ok, those other 9 reel slots is fun just because they aren't to common in free tournaments.
