Canbet closed out my account with money inside

This post has been concealed because there is a PAB in progress regarding this issue.

The Terms of the PAB process state that PAB issues should NOT be discussed on the forums while the PAB is in progress (see the Pitch-A-Bitch FAQ for details, especially items 2.6 and 3.10).

Open discussion of the contents of this post could harm the OP's chances of a successful PAB resolution.

I put money into Canbet and after playing for awhile, I tried to log in and it says my account is locked!!

I called Canbet and they said I would receive an email. Nothing from them for days. So I emailed them and attached a copy of my passports and docs... finally a response.

I got a reply to say my account has been locked and my money is unavailable, both my original deposit and the amount won.

No explanation besides references to terms that say Canbet can close an account at any time and for any reason.

I tried to get an answer from them and even had live chat closed by support during the session. They copied and pasted the same response after my third email.

This is very serious, the money in my balance is under my name and belongs to me.

I contacted the rep from their company here and he said he'd look into it. Now it's a week since I sent my message.

How a casino is able to run when it can close an account whenever it wants under its terms?!!

wow thats all i can say i recomend you find maxd here on the forum and pm him about this before giveing any more public info on it

Whatever reason they may have for voiding winnings, seizing a deposit is NEVER acceptable UNLESS there has been a serious act of fraud, and they cannot return the money to the rightful owner.

A PAB is the way forward.

Canbet were recently sold to another operator, and I have noticed quite a difference, and for the worse. There are no longer the promotions for casino players that there used to be, and the rep made me a promise in a different thread that was never honoured (that he would find out what happened to my VIP status, it somehow got "lost" in the sale).

I want to deposit some monies into a new MG casino, but before i make a deposit, i want to make sure CANBET is still accreditation worthy, can someone give me a quick update?

I couldnt find any recent complaints but everything is going smooth there?
