Non-Bonus Complaint Changes to paytables RTG Enchanted Garden

Today I played Enchanted Garden for the first time in a while. It was one of my favourite slots, but other members have commented on the bugginess of the feature.

Now, I am quite sure someone will correct me if I am wrong, but didn't the feature use to trigger when you hit an Enchanted Garden on any reel and the Princess on reel 5?

Now, you have to have the Enchanted Garden on reel 1 and the Princess on reel 5. This greatly alters your chance of hitting the feature. I sure didn't notice it popping up very often on reel one, and I have no idea if any of the other pays have altered, or the reel strips.

I think it is grossly unfair to change paytables on established games without any notice to players. While I do read the paytable on new games, I don't check them every time I go to play a slot.

Now, there may be other changes so the payout percentage stays similar, but I don't really have a clue.

I am sure it has always been garden on reel 1 and princess/fairy on reel 5 to trigger the feature.
I quite liked this one when it came out, and played it a fair bit.

I have not played RTG for quite a while because I fell victim to a string of rather odd bugs, and further I KNOW something "under the bonnet" has been changed because of the fact that things that used to work fine suddenly developed bugs.
The bugs were to do with the WR counter, suddenly it began to FAIL to zero out when the balance was zeroed, and the session logged off. Then, a load of games simply disappeared without any official explanation, and this happened TWICE, the second time being the removal of 5 new slots soon after release.
During the time I didn't play, it seems slots that once worked, were "upgraded", and now have bugs in them.

Since we KNOW that RTG casinos can set different payouts on their games, within a range, it is reasonable to suspect that experiences of poor RTP might be down to that particular casino using a lower RTP setting than others experienced in the past.

If the feature seems to hit less often, it could be down to a lower RTP version of the game, perhaps with longer reels on 1 and 5. I think I have even seen a post where someone found out that there was a lengthening of reel 5 on Enchanted garden at one RTG casino compared to another - this would make the feature less likely to hit.

Perhaps you are correct Vinyl. But I do know the paytable was changed...at least in look and format.

Yes you need garden on line 1 and the princess on line 5. And then during the feature anywhere one of the special symbols appear with the wasp you get extra free games. As far as the pay table changing, a lot of the rtg tables changed and the games seem even more tighter. Kinda takes the fun out of playing rtg games, as it is as the past while the fun factor seems to have left.

Since the reel series slots went live in November 2004 not one game has been altered in terms of its pay structure or feature rules.
Reel strip changes may occur between RTP variations, but in all cases pays and features remain constant.

My apologies for my faulty memory. When I went to look at the paytable when I didn't hit the feature, or even have the slowing of the reels, I looked at the paytable and the new look of the page further befuddled me.

I really appreciate when you weigh in on such matters Dogbody, and share your industry knowledge with us.

I have hit that I got on playing out of this world. Same line same hit 6 months ago it paid me 50 dollars. The other nite I got this hit again and it only paid me 20 dollars for it. When i went into pay table it did show the line now pays lower then what it use to. I have a pic of the two hits i will try and post them later.

Will be very interested to see those screenshots, because the paytable has not changed since the game went live.
The following is a paste from the spreadsheet of the original 2004 go-live version (clarification: maths completion 2004, live date for this game was 2006 from memory):
