Angry problems with casinos

Hi there,

I joined 32 vegas and eurogrand last week and made deposits of £395. These amounts have cleared my bank account and i thought all was well until this morning when i checked my account and saw that my bank had diminished by some £455!!!! On further investigation, it appears that every single card transaction i have made to these casinos have been duplicated with a little added on top for good measure. They dont show onthe transaction page of my casino accounts but I have been given all of the authorisation codes from my bank and they clearly have taken alot of money which they are not and have never been authorised to do so.

Have contacted both casinos several times today and they are trying to wriggle out of it stating that they dont appear on my transactions. Does anyone have any advice as to what i do next? These are illegal transactions andd money that i cant afford to lose. Is there a watchdog out there that could intervene and get my money back? Any advice would be appreciated

Hi browneyedgurl,
I understand you made mutiple small-amount deposits, right? Normally, when I deposit $20 to a casino via credit card, my bank account, associated with this card, is debited something like $21.04... or $20.89...
I always assumed it was my bank's card processing fees, not extras charged by a merchant.

With my other bank's credit card, it works even weirder: let's say I deposit $20 into some casino. My casino account is credited $20. My bank account in the meanwhile shows that $26 is "blocked" (I assume, blocked pending completion of the payment to merchant). However, in few days time, when payment is completed/cleared, it shows that my bank account was indeed debited $20 and not $26, so all is well.

I posted this in case you may find any resemblance. I hope it has nothing to do with casinos of your choice, but rather with the way your bank processes credit card charges. I may be wrong though... hopefully somebody with more knowledge will come around real soon.

thankyou for your reply, im really not sure as they have already taken the amount i credited and then they have asked for the same transaction again with a little added. 32 vegas have just told me that the card merchants have duplicated the payments and will refund them once they realise, they wont give me any contact details for the merchants though, just wish someone would take ownership and resolve the situation. Lets hope they do refund!!!

If this is the case, they should refund, normally within 14 days or so... let's keep fingers crossed
