    Inetbet Difficulties

On 7/18 I deposited $53 from my Netspend account in my Inetbet account. It never showed up. I contacted Inetbet customer support and they denied receiving the funds and blamed the failed transaction on Netspend. I contacted Netspend and they said that Inetbet accepted the funds. Intetbet denied it issuing remarms such as

" assure you that we have not received this deposit from them. Unfortunately this is a very regular occurance with Netspend."

    and

"were there other options we would be actively reccomending another processor. That said it is incompetency as opposed to them being underhand."

After about 10 emails and 6 days Inetbet sent me the following:
    "Hi Mike
The missing funds have been traced and they should now be in your account
    Regards
    iNetBet Support"

I managed to turn the $53 into $500. I processed a withdraw for $320. Inetbet wired $265 in my account. I emailed asking them why the charged $55 in fees. Their response:

"Dear Mike: We did not charge $55. We sent you $290 ($320 - $30) the remaining deduction would have been made by your Bank as a processing fee. I am afraid there is not much we can do about that. These are seperate fees that they charge you for processing. I can only apologise for the mix up with the processors however after much work we did locate the funds and they were credited to you. RegardsiNetBet Support"

I checked with my bank. They charged no fees. I suspected this because I've made dozens of withdrawls at ClubWorld and I always received the exact amount of the withdraw. So I informed Inetbet that my bank charges no fees and it appears to be their processor. They responded:

"Dear Mike: I can assure you this is not the case. I am sure that your bank charges no fee. That is correct it is the intermidary bank that they use that will charge the fee. We have not charged you any differently from previous transactions we simply deducted $35 from the amount sent as this is the second wire of the month. The other fees are the intermidary that your bank uses to recive the transfer. RegardsiNetBet Support"

This roguish behavior certainly isn't indicitive of an accredited casino.

i have had so many problems with netspend you wouldnt believe it, they tried to blame the casino, when it did come out it was netspends fault, to call inetbet roguish might be a wee bit harsh, it does not fit inetbets profile as they are usually on top of things, just my 2 cents worth.................laurie

Don't know about Netspend but Usemywallet charges 5% for a deposit and $30 for a withdrawal then the wire transfer to my bank is charged also by my bank. So, it really isn't always the casino that is to blame.

You might want to check with Netspend if thats how you withdrew. The withdrawals I have had with Inetbet have never been charged against my funds, only those I stated which had nothing to do with Inetbet.

    Not Netspend

It was a direct wire transfer from Inetbet to my bank. As I said, I've done the same on Clubworld with no fees. I hit a $15k random there and took it out $3k at a time with no fees. I know my bank charges no fees. It's Inetbet's processing. They have another new processor and they're not in tune with them.

I dont think this issue deserve to be named "roguish ".At least the casino traced the funds which you have deposited and they are respending to your emails with explanations. If it is the problem of new processor as you said it is not the fault of the casino. From what I know Inetbet have no such bad activities. When you win they pay and they pay fast and I dont understand why Inetbet will take your 55 USD as it is small amount.

    Hi Everyone,
    Thanks for the replies.

Just to clarify this. If a player asks for a wire withdrawal we pay all of the charges on our end for sending the funds. This applies to the first withdrawal of the month. Additional wires in a monthly period do have our fees deducted from the withdrawal prior to it being sent out.

I am afraid we cannot be held responsible for other fees that the recipient bank, and more importantly the intermediary bank that they use may charge. This is quite standard practice. Wire transfers are not the same as an ACH and have to go through an intermediary. The fees that they charge differ from bank to bank but in general they are around $20-$25. I am not sure I have ever heard of any international wire being sent and there not being some kind of fees for processing.

In this case we deducted our fees as it was the second wire of the month. The additional monies would have been deducted during the transfer by the other banks involved. As I say these fees are not within our control.

Players do have the option to withdraw funds via a different method such as an online wallet if they do not want to have fees deducted.

As to the Bank saying they charged no fee this may well be the case, as they have probably just checked the amount of money being deposited. They do not see the fees that are deducted by their intermediary. They simply see/check the end amount received.

We are using the same process as with all of the previous wires we have sent. Nothing has changed on that front. The wire was received by the player within hours of the withdrawal request being made.

I hope that this clarifies things for everyone. I fail to see how this constitutes “roguish behaviour”.

    Best Regards

Every time I have used a wire transfer, no matter which casino, I am charged a fee by the first processor when it hits the united states and again by my bank, who charges 15 dollars,, I am not usually charged by the casino... probably because I don't have more than one a month (one a month i would consider myself extremely lucky..lol) And I also do not see how this can be considered "roguish behavior". Also I am always happy to see the quick responses from Inetbet. Keep up the good work...

US players are SUPPOSED to be having such difficulties, and you know who to blame for that

What doesn't look good is the initial responses regarding the missing deposit. iNetBet should have worked harder to trace the problem without the player having to send 6 Emails before the funds were traced.

While iNetBet did nothing different, their processor certainly did, possibly to confuse the UIGEA regulations, which resulted in an intermediary banking charge being applied this time, even if not the last time.

I expect the situation will get even worse for US players later this year, as it seems one of the broadcasters there is running a story about how effective UIGEA has been so far, and if this shows it has been "business as usual" I'm sure the embarrassment factor will spur the authorities to tighten things up.

Hopefully, this will disrupt transactions for all those domestic "carve out" firms, and they will start to hate the UIGEA, and put pressure on the administration to come to either make it work, or get rid of it and start again.

    Response

    Inetbet:
Thanks for the response. I apologize for using "roguish behavior", but you must realize I'm frustrated. Players like myself residing in the U.S. that like to play small dollar amounts are severely impacted by these processors. It's no longer worth playing and making small withdrawls of under $500. Therefore I am forced to find alternatives that don't use processors that charge such high fees. It's very frustrating to process a withdawl not knowing how much will be taken by the time it gets to my bank. Quite honestly, a huge amount can be taken and the casino can only respond that it's not within your control. That's not fair to the player. If you have a suggestion for an alternative method of receiving funds in the U.S., I'd appreciate your response.
