What did it leave? Malware? did you do a reg backup before cleaning?

I had to search my hard drive for the file "gfnotifier.exe" and delete it. In fact I deleted the whole subdirectory.

Thanks. I've reported this to the Admins. If true, GP should be more than rogued for silly marketing imo, they should be deemed evil.

EDIT: Ah crap. I hate it when I leap before I look... but you guys may still be on to something here.

While I would not put anything past GP, I would not put too much faith in this site either, not only because the information is dated 2004. GP is a casino software, not a BHO. There are plenty of false positives generated by anti-spyware software, for example Ad-Aware describes Microgaming as spyware with the description "Installs by stealth, no uninstaller provided". I hope I don't have to explain that there is little point in installing casino without the user's knowledge.

Srry for the delayed reply, left this lame "casino notifier" kinda like FL's Player's Lounge gizmo that follows you around and and pesters you. Yeah I'd call it malware - didn't come off with reg un-install of the casino software. I have Webroot's SpySweeper and WindowWasher (the BOMB) so the GC BS is gone but STILL, you know! Pisses me off! And now this?:

Couldn't find this thread earlier but originally, after I first posted it, I sent the link to admin@goldencasino and TODAY I got an email from them with a big, fat "DANGER - EMAIL BLOCKED FOR YOUR PROTECTION" pink band across the top. I NEVER get those warnings from other casinos. Srry for the new thread today, I just found the link for this one in my sent mail from when I told on myself to Golden Casino. Heh-heh.

I been busy for quite a while posting on the vet that murdered my cat over New Years. Haven't had the heart for much else I guess. Prescribed a 10 Xs lethal dose of Acepromazine cuz he mistook Kitty's temp as recorded on his vet chart for his weight - 93lbs. I know, I know just an effen twat & thanks in advance.

Yeah, see that's whats so cool about Webroot. With an online coupon (I Googled "webroot coupon") you can get SpySweeper with WindowWasher for a year for like US$20 or 30. WAY more relevant (for people like US-no offense)than anti-virus these days I think.
