    maple casino shame on you

a while back my mom had a very small problem with maple. i got in touch with schalk, here on the site, and he was very helpful and i thanked him on the open forum for his help. well, sept. 16th my mom cashed out 1600 and got the usual work in progres message for about a week or so. i contacted schalk again for her and he told me they had to verify her deposits again. ok. pain in the neck but no problem. the documents were sent two weeks ago this coming monday. then my mom got an email saying it was the new no hassle form and she need only to reply. did that. today she gets a fone call from maple saying that they cant pay her because of the new gaming laws. what the hell is that?

that's outrageous! hopefully it's just an error by an overzealous employee? hard to believe Maple would use the recently passed bill to do something like this.

You are, once again, flagging well behind the current events, balls.

Its been a problem with a number of previously reputable sportsbooks and a few casinos recently 1819. Strange times at the mo.

got a p.m. from schalk today. said he will pay outstanding cashouts. he doesnt know who made the call. could be scammers preying on the uncertainy of the whole situation. the caller told my mom to open an account in a state where it was still legal or open an offshore bank account and then it would be ok.

Wow- thats a bit of a worry isnt it??

Surely the only people who knew you had a cashout pending from that casino were the casino employees...??...and is their rep seriously suggesting one of their employees would try to scam one of their customers????

I hope I'm reading this one wrong

he is not suggesting that. i made that assumption. any hack can get financial info from "secure accounts" from casino's, or banks, or anywhere else. with all the confusion going on im sure predators will look to gain financially.

I have to say thats not true.

Are you seriously saying "any hack" can access your bank accounts?

For casinos, yes, Id agree they are largely not 100% secure. Not to be taken for granted for sure.

I think we all know that as common sense.

Even someone like Tennis Balls might be able to 'sort of' comprehend that after a couple of read through agains.

But still you may want to seek some answers (after you have been paid of course).

Get paid, get out of there and then ask these questions Id say.

well, not any old hack but you'd be suprised how easy it is to get someones bank info. the biggest problem with casino security is that although the sites and transactions are secure(secure as possible), when you deposit with a credit/debit card they ask for your i.d. to cash out. front and back of card plus drivers license. you are told to fax those documents. that gets sent out overseas by a phone line. lol. anyway. i hope it was just a misunderstanding and i hope others dont start running into similar problems. i think for the folks here in the u.s. we should just stop for a while and find something else to do until this all blows over. atlantic city for me this week! i see you're from uk so no worries for you. happy gambling.
