A typical VP payout can be determined mathematically based on the chance of drawing a series of cards. Full pay JoB will pay out 99.54%. The number of 3 of a kinds, 4 of kinds, pairs, and other combinations will fall near the percetages listed at Wizard of Odds.

The payout of a slot-type VP does not follow the usual VP expectations. The payout will not be 99.54%. It will probably be somewhere between 90 and 95%. The chances of drawing a specifc combination of cards will probably not fall near the percentages listed at Wizard of Odds. ...

Note that I have no personal experience at this casino and have no idea what the actual payout of the VP is.

    Here is the payout chart:

    P A Y O F F C H A R T
    $0.50 $1.00 $3.00 $5.00 $10.00
    JACKS OR BETTER
    x1 $0.50 $1.00 $3.00 $5.00 $10.00
    2 PAIRS
    x2 $1.00 $2.00 $6.00 $10.00 $20.00
    3 OF A KIND
    x3 $1.50 $3.00 $9.00 $15.00 $30.00
    STRAIGHT
    x4 $2.00 $4.00 $12.00 $20.00 $40.00
    FLUSH
    x6 $3.00 $6.00 $18.00 $30.00 $60.00
    FULL HOUSE
    x9 $4.50 $9.00 $27.00 $45.00 $90.00
    4 OF A KIND
    x25 $12.50 $25.00 $75.00 $125.00 $250.00
    STRAIGHT FLUSH
    x50 $25.00 $50.00 $150.00 $250.00 $500.00
    ROYAL FLUSH
    x250 $125.00 $250.00 $1000.00 $4000.00 JACKPOT

To me it looks the same as any other standard VP if you bet $5 per hand (only 1 hand max here). If you bet $10 hand and hit the RF, then it's even better % payout no?

Yes, that is full pay JoB. I meant that with random distribution of a standard deck, you'd expect to get a pair 21% of the time, 2 pairs 13% of the time, 3 of a kind 7% of the time, etc. If outcomes are determined by slot machine probablities rather than VP probabilities, then you might get a pair 20% of the time, 2 pairs 10% of the time, 3 of kind 5% of the time, etc. The overall payout of the game wouldn't be 99.54% any more. It would be something else, probably close to the payout of a slot machine.

Again, I have never played here and have no idea whether this is the case or not.

The cards in VP (and BJ, for that matter) in Slotland are not dealt from a 52-card deck.

You can get redealt the same card that you discarded in VP. Like aka23 said, it raises the house edge to levels as if you were playing slots.

If you don't mind that, go ahead and play it. But having a game that looks like BJ or VP, but really isn't because it's based on slot percentages, is just plain deceptive IMHO.

(And Slotland's disclaimer, wherever it's posted on their site, is nowhere near enough to fairly warn the player ... not unless it's in big, red, flashing font on every single page)
I don't abuse bonuses, I just shake the sh!t out of 'em!

Yes it is, all games at SLOTLAND are SLOTS.

That said, I remember playing their BJ version too, and it is a fun game.

Though I will add that I also agree that their CSR's are polite & they (Slotland) do pay their winners. Though, if they are still only processing on Monday's then they need to get with times.

This disclaimer was only placed on site because someone here posted (2006)about the VP playing like a slot not VP. From memory there was a big stink about it. Slotland then added the disclaimer.

Slotland compared to MG is like Pong next to a Playstation3. Does anyone besides Fred Flinstone and his Cave buddies play there still?

Basically the cards are not random. To put it into perspective these games Slotland offers could not be licensed in Nevada because they would be considered rigged machines. In Nevada games offering cards must be random just as a deck of cards would be. These are not. A formula decides a payout % and the RNG comes up with prize amounts. I guess if it was time to hit a royal and you tossed 4 to a royal you would have hit then you would redraw a 5 card royal. As long as you understand that when playing then I guess it is fair enough.
