    Spam, spam and more spam

    Hello all,

I'm the ower of another webportal... Best Online Casino Guide - Casinos | Gambling Reviews. It's far from being complete so no need to visit it now. A side project at best.

Anyway, I've been a member of various affiliate programs since 2004 and I beleive that two programs, Casino Partners and Brightshare (or some evil employee of the same) have sold, given, passed, loaned, confered, or leaked my email to spammers. I was wondering if anyone else, player or affilate, has had a similar experience.

I'm not taking about bonus offers and such mind you, I mean SPAM... penis enlargers, Viagra, et al. numbering in the 1000s.

Why do I think this? Three reasons...

    1) I signed up using very distinctive email... i.e. brightshare@bocguide.com. Spammers tend to use random things like info@yourdomain.com, accounting@yourdomain.com, webmaster@yourdomain.com etc... when they know a domain is active. Not brightshare@yourdomain.com.

    2) I beleive the domain was active well before I signed up to Brightsahre, but only started receiving spam afterwards (the dates are a bit fuzzy but it seems right afterward).

    3) I've used similar emails at numerous other affilaite programs and have received no such spam from them.

    Same goes for Casino Partners.

I brought it to their attention and I got the following responses:

From Adi Elliott at Casino Partners...

"I assure you we have not sold anyone's email address to spammers, as we treat
all emails as confidential (after all, our client list and their contact info
is a closely guarded secrets). We also have problems with spammers, but I'm
not sure how that particular email address found its way to you."

    From Lloyd Apter at Brightshare...

"Many people know brightshare and could do this. There is no connection to us, sorry..."

Before I go postal on them, I'd like to know your thoughts, questions, comments...

You're the jury. That is the evidence. What is your verdict? Guilty or Not Guilty?

Screen shots of the offending spam available upon request.

    Much obliged!

    Rollo

I could almost guarantee it's CP. If you read this thread, you'll come to the same conclusion.

The reason I say this is that when the Vegas Red, Tropez, and Europa spam started, I also had an increase in the porn, viagra, etc spam that was going to the same address.

CP still claims to this day that a 3rd party company that they had prior dealings with is sending this stuff (the casino spam); but yet won't do anything about it. They claim to have no affiliation with this said company anymore. Yea right.

I also got spam after signing on with CP. It started during the Hi-Roller campaing and continued with Viagra and the same stuff winbig was talking about (also 'buy this stock now' spam).

I can guarantee it was from CP as I used a specific email addy for CP that I didn't use for anyone else.

A recent survey showed that 68% of women are unsatisfied with their sexual partners. Of course most of these women would never tell their partner that they are unhappy.

Not being able to fully satisfy a woman can result in depression and feelings of inadequacy. Thankfully, men of all ages can now safely and naturally enhance their body and penis anatomy and renew sexual vitality without resorting to dangerous surgery.

The all natural proprietary blend of unique herbs found in Maxaman is designed to restore blood flow to your penis, unleash stored testosterone, and heighten sensation by activating the body's natural hormone production and supplying vital nutrients necessary for peak sexual performance.

    .................................................. ..............................................

By the way, having been a statistician in a previous life, does anyone have a sneaking suspicion that these two, and especially Casino Partners, doesn't, let's say, follow though on their end of the deal financially speaking.

I had Vegas Red, Del Rio, and Tropez in the heavy rotation for a long time and have never receveied a dime for them. The links work as I could see their system was picking up the traffic. Not that I get a ton of traffic, but I've received tens of thousands of $$$ collectively from other programs over the same period and with comparable traffic... even a few scraps from Brightsahre. It seems statistically unlikely that this happened randomly, but I was wondering if you've had similar issues?

    Thanks again,

    Rollo

    Same thing happened to me.

But the SPAM really increased when I blacklisted 888, on average I get 1500 spam emails a day now...

I don't think it is CP so much as one or two bad employees trying to make a few extra bucks by selling the addresses.

The newest and most exciting fat Ioss product available

So 888.com spams your email as well? I've not recevied any from them, but I continue to receive spam form Casino Partners (todays featued spam "Feel oung again with Regenisis HGH") and Brightshare (today's featured spam "Anatrim -- The newest and most exciting fat Ioss product available - As scen on Oprah"). That would their spelling of "seen on Oprah" and "fat Loss", oung and the rest...

Thanks for the input, I didn't know about 888.com I'm, using them on a new site I'm launching in two weeks or so in 13 langauges (due largely to the lack of other foreign language options).

If you ask me, all of the casinos/poker rooms that they promote should be blacklisted. (Casino partners as well as CPays)

The affiliate company for allowing affiliates to spam.
    &
The casinos for not switching companies, therefore allowing the spam to continue.

If all casinos started switching advertising companies because of the spam, maybe these places would crack down on these ahole affiliates.

Unfortunately this industry doesn't change until either the majority of affiliates (the ones with influence) get b/hind a cause; the scumware battle was a good example, or it start to really hit the bottom line of the casinos in question.

A good example of this is the 888 issue.

It unfortunately seems the bottom line out-weights integrity.

I am very much sick of these spam emails:

    From: douchebag@wesuckmajor.ass
Subject: SAVE 82%: VIAGR*, AMBIE*, CIALI*, XANA*, RIVOTRI*, LEVITR*, CIPRO, MERIDI*, CELEBRE*, VALIU*

Super H0T Se11ing Quality Meds At Cheeap
We dont keep ur record (not even your name)

become C11ck Here To 0rdeer reply
I was convinced that these were coming from the Gold Key/Hampton/Portofino group of casinos, because they all use the same "technique" of replacing letters with numbers/symbols the same way they do in their promotional emails (i.e. G0LD KEY CAS!N0, HAMPT0N CAS1N0, etc.). How childish. I fired off a nasty email to all three of them telling them to stop spamming me, thinking it would solve the problem. Now I get even more offers, from Rolex watches to products that will help a "not very good erecxction" and a whole bunch of other crap. Thank goodness Google's spam filter works so well.
