Angry Intertops won't pay bonus win that is impossible for U.S. players to collect on

I got a free chip from Intertops for $20, max cashout is $100. I played it through and was up to over $1000 before they reduced it down to the $100. So I go to cash out and for U.S. customers the minimum to request a check or bank wire is $150., and as far as I can tell these are the only options to cash out for U.S. customers. I contact their support by phone and was told that I have to email them to request they do a "manual" bank wire. I email them and receive a reply stating that they cannot do the manual cashout because my balance has to be $150. I explain that I was already over $1000 (obviously having met the $150 requirement they are now asking for) and ask that they make an exception since it's their fault that they sent an offer that is impossible for U.S. customers to collect on. I even told them that I was willing to accept a check for $50. ($100 less their $50 fee to process checks) or a bank wire for less than $100, but they said no, that I will have to continue to play and try to get to the $150. This especially doesn't make sense for the check requirement because they are basically saying I need to make the additional $50 to cover their $50 fees when this issue is their fault to begin with. I really like this casino and have won there before and cashed out with no problems, but I think this is unacceptable to send an offer that U.S. players cannot collect on if they win, and then to not be willing to work with me at all. At this point I'm willing to just let the money go, I don't even want to try to get to $150 because I feel like they are not taking responsibility for an error on their part. I thought I would post here in case anyone may have some advice.

More bullshit. You were WELL over the $150, the $100 you have is because they applied the max cashout rule. This rule STILL applies, so even if you got it back to $150, you could STILL only cash out $100, and they will again say this is below the minimum required.

It is therefore IMPOSSIBLE for any US player to ever win and withdraw from this free chip, so the only possible reason for them to offer it is to get you into the casino and playing. You are more likely to lose the $100 trying, and they will no doubt then offer you a deposit bonus that you could cash out from should you get lucky again. US players can ONLY win from a free chip that has a max cashout of $150 or more.

It seems so common for casinos to make offers where the max cashout is lower than the minimum withdrawal that it appears to be no accident that this happens

Do you have a MyPayLinq account? If so, withdraw to them and then go from there. Seems that is the only solution. That is if Intertops uses them. If not, then I don't have a suggestion as it won't matter at all if you get up to $150 cause your max is $100.

A few months back had same issue at a CW grp casino. But there min by wire was $350. I asked them to remove me from the Bonus stipulations since I had made the WR requirements and I could continue play from($150). But was told unable to.....was a freebie so did'nt care and just played it out....Sucks though.

As far as I know that method isn't an option. Intertops actually said if I get my balance to the $150 then I can withdraw $150 (if by check then less the $50 check fee), it's just that I don't think that I should have to risk losing anything at this point when my balance was well over the $150 to begin with (I think it was $1800 actually) and it's their fault for offering a bonus that can't be cashed out by U.S. customers.

I also had asked them if it is possible to just leave the money in my account and for me to play it as if were real money I had deposited and keep any winnings, but they said no, even if I win more I still can't cash out over the $100.

I figure I didn't lose any real money so it's not that big of a deal to me financially, it's just the principle and the fact that they won't take any responsibility for their error that bothers me. I know it is possible for them to send a bank wire for under the $150 "manually" because I was told so on the phone, they just don't want to for some reason.

It's a free chip, you were never meant to win. The ONLY solution is to lose it all back, and they will offer you a DEPOSIT bonus which you CAN actually withdraw from if you win.

Casinos offering free chips that can never be cashed out because the min withdrawal is greater than the max cashout, and cannot be dealt with manually because of the OBVIOUS "extenuating circumstances" are using deceptive marketing, and if accredited this breaches the standards. Free chips, after all, are simply a means to market the casino to players.

This is also incredibly STUPID, as every player who DOES menage to reach the max cashout, but loses it to this issue, is going to get the impression that the rules are designed to screw over winning players, and this is hardly good marketing for the brand.

It seems they are screwing the US players for all they are worth, as non-US players would always have an option for claiming the max cashout on such free chips due to so many withdrawal options being available to them.

I note they are even knocking back all suggestions that cut out the need to withdraw, such as removing the restrictions on the already earned and cashable $100 so that the player can play on and try to reach the min cashout as though they had deposited a fresh $100.

Casinos that practice this can easily be spotted by close examination of the terms. If there is any sign that min withdrawal is set higher than max cashouts, US players should avoid them as they are not getting a fair chance to win from the promotions being offered as inducements to play.

Can additional funds be added and then withdrawn to reach the level required for cashout? Seems like a more expensive option for the casino however.

If this was an introductory free chip, Rival does something along those lines when they ask for a verification deposit.

If so, why didn't the casino offer this solution to the player instead of telling them to play on and see if they could get their balance above $150 AGAIN.

??? I thought Intertops was RTG? *confused*

I'm surprised, Intertops has very seldom had player issues (at least from the time since I've been here). When I played there and had problems, the CSR were always friendly and willing to work with me to find ways to solve problems. Unfortunately, US players have so few withdraw methods open to them, that they need to check carefully T&Cs for free chips regarding cashout limits BEFORE playing so they aren't caught up in instances such as these.

This isn't the first player who has had this happen to them. There has been several from different casinos who have fallen into the same "trap" when it has come time to withdraw. Perhaps, players need to ask questions before they get so excited about playing that free chip and winning. Then they won't be so disappointed when they find out they have no means to withdraw.
