Unhappy City Club Casino

I have a complaint about CITY CLUB CASINO. As a first time player I deposited $US100 with them and received a $400 bonus. The rules stated I could not play progessives with this bonus - something I overlooked. I won $2500 and requested a withdrawal, at which stage the casino took back its $400 bonus. No mention was made that I could not withdraw the rest. Over the next 6 days with the withdrawal still awaiting approval, I cancelled the withdrawal in order to play with the funds. I would have won approx. $10,000+ and continued to request withdrawals of between $1500 & $3000. All these were marked as "awaiting approval". A couple of them I cancelled and continued to play with. Finally, about a week later, I had 4 or 5 withdrawal requests pending, totalling about $12,500. I finally contacted City Club's accounts people asking when I could expect my winnings. I was told that as I had initally played partly on a progessive, my total winnings were forfeit and they would refund my original stake of $100. What I do not understand is I won the first $2500 on a progressive from which their bonus amount was retrieved. I then wagered the total balance of this win, so ensuing winnings were not tied to this amount, but to my original stake. Can you advise where my thinking is illogical.

Welcome

Hi Lindab, welcome to the forum. Are you saying that you did play the progressive games in the beginning?

I dont like this casino at all (spamming and calling me), but the bonus conditions are not hidden in smallprint, but clearly stated on the promotions page.

Bonus Details
Deposit any amount and City Club Casino will reward you by crediting your account instantly with a 400% up to $400 bonus in free cash!

Please note that in the interest of fair gaming, you must wager a minimum of 20 (Twenty) times the sum of your deposit plus your bonus before withdrawing any amount higher than your initial deposit.

Deposit $100, Get a $400 Bonus, Play with $500. (Wager Requirement is $10000).

Bets placed on all games other then non-progressive slots will be deemed a violation of the first deposit bonus terms and conditions and your bonus and winnings will be void.

i also think cityclub is a strange outfit but in this case they seem right. you used funds which you won on disallowed games to clear your wagering requirements on allowed games. thats not allowed in any playtech where you play with a bonus.
iam sorry as you seem to have won quite big but theres nothing able to do as you violated the bonus terms.

cheers

I made that mistake also last year when playing a bonus at Playtech.
One of the 9-liners appeared to be a progressive slot (can't remember the name, Pharao theme).
I always play Highway King and Captain Treasure, decided to give that one a try and found out later that it was a progressive.
Its an easily made mistake for a newbie gambler.'

I'm afraid there is no chance you'll get your winnings, its a violation of their T&C's, and as they are also die-hard spammers (I still receive 3 mails per day), with very agressive marketing methods, I would not count on a gesture.

Highway Kings, if they call THIS progressive, then ALL the slots are "progressive" since they all have this "lotto thingy" progressive attached to them. This leaves you almost NO slots that fit the description of "non progressive", so would be a predatory term.

I noticed this little trick at Fast Win, they had the "non-progressive" term, but suddenly EVERY DAMN SLOT had this progressive lotto feature, and there seemed NOTHING that could be played, AND keep within the LETTER of this term. Later, Fast Win and Co entered the pit under "not recommended".

"Progressive" normally applies to NETWORK progressives, which are usually a small number of the total portfolio of games on offer, and easily identifiable. Playtech have introduced this lotto feature to make almost EVERY slot technically a progressive, so this case is not as clear cut as it seems.

I found only TWO SLOTS that did NOT have this progressive element, and whom the hell thinks it reasonable to be restricted to only TWO slots for a deposit bonus.
