Golden Casino claims "let them Ride" is video poker ??? - Your opinion
Golden Casino are claiming my wagering void because I played "let them Ride" which according to them is a form of video poker.
I know it is not a form of video poker, and they even have placed "Let them Ride" in the Table games section instead of the Video Poker Section - Go figure. Has anyone got a clear definition of "let them ride" and why it is not a form of video poker, and perhaps a link to this definition. Thanks |

First of all, this kind of "gotcha" is the type of crap one can expect to put up with from Odds On casinos.
That said, trying to pigeonhole Let it Ride as either video poker or table poker probably depends on how the game is presented. From a mathematical standpoint, the game is similar to Double Down Stud, which is available as both a table poker game and a video poker game in real casinos. At real casinos, Double Down Stud as a table game is paid on a "to one" basis, while the video poker version is paid on a "for one" basis. My opinion would be that since the Odds On software lists this as a table game, then it is not video poker. How does the game look in the casino software - does it look like it is being played on top of a table? Either way, I'm not too optimistic about your results of getting paid. Aren't these the same people who have stopped paying winners? |

Clearly it is not. I had a similar problem with English Harbour (also Odds On) a couple of years back where they claimed Pai Gow Poker was video poker too. I got my money but I had to ask for a manager and ask him two or three times to review my history before they realized they owed me my winnings after all.
Be persistent. |

HI
I'm having the same problem, they sent me an email saying i played blackjack or video poker, they don't even say which one i played or if i played both.. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This e-mail is just notify you that your withdrawal has been reversed back into your play balance due to the fact that you did not comply with the wagering requirements on your promotion for one of the following reasons: You wagered on blackjack You wagered on video poker. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- there is NO WAY! let them ride is video poker, it's in table games, it's played on a table and not a simulated screen, you can change your bet in mid-play and in the wizard of odds's "gambling 102" it's in a different chapter than vpoker. These guys are clearly stretching it by changing the promotion rules in the middle of the promotion and then claiming i played a restricted game and not even specifying which game... then denying they changed the t&c I think we just need to DEMAND the cashout and threaten them with legal action and having them rogued. Been tried before, complete and utter BS!
ANY game that is visually presented to the player as being played on a "virtual table", is a TABLE game. Given, though, that we are playing on our PC's, then EVERYTHING is a "video game", and thus ALL games would be excluded from counting towards playthrough. Also, the "deposits" are not "table money", but "video money", a graphical representation of our money in arbritary "video credits". Perhaps it is time to log on to internet banking and perform a "video chargeback" on this bunch of bulls**ters, and if they complain, tell them "It's not a 'bank [counter/table ] chargeback', but a form of 'video chargeback', which is not covered by the prohibition in your general terms".

Last time I checked, LIR is a table game. I don't see any machines offering up this game in any B&M.

The above post might be a bit confusing because you cant see table games being highlighted. Here is a screenshot of their games list at their website that I just took.
LOL @ "let them ride" = "video poker"

Yes, you're correct. I was thinking of MG software where they have two versions of it, one is presented as a table game and the other one looks like video poker - but they are actually both listed as Table Games.
