Canbet Casino takes away $215 of winnings...

    Hi,
Any advice appreciated, even if you think it's not worth pursuing...

    To sum up;

-Received account-specific promo email - 20% upto $200 , specifically saying is valid for BJ.

-checked link for terms provided & nothing related to the code given, all were slots only, so basically the wrong terns - general terms provided no clue either.

    - so I emailed c.s. to clarify the terms.

-they advised I needed to wager 25x b.

-I then deposited & wagered it over $5k, then checked account to see if was released from any wagering restrictions - I wasn't.

    - casino manager called, after several emails to their staff yielded nothing -he said I was given wrong terms (should be 25x dep.& bonus - or 150x bonus!) and apparently they were clear enough on the website, but he agreed to remove the bonus, and free up account, only after I advised I deposited after email with wrong terms.

    - find to my horror only deposit returned, not the winnings I had made,
both the bonus & winnings had been voided.I had therefore wagered over $5k with no chance of winning, only losing.

-emailed again, then he called back and said he couldnt have seen gameplay and or winnings, when he cancelled the bonus - so he'd look into getting winnings restored and get back to me.

    - a week later I email asking for update, he claims basically said no such thing & outlined reasons why I not getting my winnings back.

    So sorry tristan727...

It really sucks, but I don't think it is worth pursuing, because if they make it up to you, you'll deposit with them again and again just because you think they were "fair" after all. But could you ever trust such a casino again??? I couldn't. I have closed a few of my accounts because of unclear terms and conditions. As long as you don't win, you don't bother about it and keep playing certain games, because you just like them. But when it comes to a cash-out you realize that it is almost impossible to get a part of your money back. We are players not idiots, but many casinos stil consider players as idiots.

Thank you very much for your post though. One more casino to avoid...

Good luck whatever you decide to do!

i can promise you Nithol I wont be redepositing with them again, if I can ever get my winnings back off of them. The more I think about it, the more angry I am - what is the confiscating of winnings, because of a seperate bonus issue, which had no bearing on my funds, and which they made the error on - anything other than theft, at the end of the day? And now I've had to use my hotel loyalty points at some rubbish Holiday Inn this weekend where taking my wife away, because I'm feeling a bit too skint to splash out on a luxury place...whilst no doubt the beers are flowing at the Cantor friday night office do, as we type.

    OMG!

It was the thing like this with me on Sierra star!

I deposited 50$ in this casino and received 50$ in bonus. WR for this 50 was 8x(B+D) = 800. And I was told by system about additional 20$ bonus. So I contacted live CS (Keith) and asked she about WR for this bonus (sorry, I have no history of chat). And I was told by she that WR for this 20$ bonus is only 8 times! OK, 960$ WR for 70$ is OK for me. So, I asked she to add the bonus to my account. And I started to play, played some games (BJ, Roulette, and Desert Treasure). Played some time and wanted to know how much need I wager. And I was told by your CS (via email) that I need to wager about 727$. Holy sh…it! I already wagered about 600$ (I control my comp points). Then I contacted Online Support from casino lobby and was told by CS that WR for this bonus is 25 times! And it was just misinformation about 8 times! I was shocked but took myself in my hands and contacted their CS via email. And they changed their WR for me They told if it was misinformation - so for me WR for this bonus will be 8 times (as I was told by Keith)! Great! Thank you Sierra Star!

I'm with you, tristan727! It's absolutely dishonorable and sounds like cheating players! Canbet should to change WR for your bonus as it was in my situation!! It's my opinion!

Well fortunately, I have been able, thanks to the Casino Contacts section here, get a 2nd opinion -and my $215 winnings have been credited back! So kudos to the Canbet contact here. Would have contacted them here 1st, but I'd read somewhere they weren't here, I'd thought. Will never underestimate the depth & breath of the CM contact list again.

My advice therefore, Slotmonster - is always get it in writing...whilst it didn't actually help me in this instance, as no-one asked for it - it didn't damn make me feel I had a strong case!
