Bet Fred complaint: resolved

Deposited $200 and got 100% match with 15DB requirements as posted on website. Spoke with Live Chat twice before playing confirming things like bonus and comp points ie 1 point = $10 wagering.

Played standard BJ mostly $3 flat bets plus some Slots after WRs had been met. Total wagering over $6,500 although $6,000 only required.

Cashed in $640. Here's what was sent this morning:



"Hi XXXXX



Your recent withdrawal request from Betfred Casino has been declined due to bonus abuse. Your account has now been closed and your original deposit returned to your neteller account. We reserve the right to close any account for any abusive activity at our sole discretion, this may include depositing with the sole purpose of receiving bonus funds , on our own interpretation of the facts. The decision of Betfred Management is final and binding in all cases.

Out and out thievery. I am an experienced on-line player but have never come across Bet Fred before. I could have lost playing Play Tech Bj very easily as the soft-ware is very streaky. However, the streaks went my way on this occasion. But to ensure Bet Fred take all the money, and engage zero risk, they simply deny winnings and label me a "bonus abuser".



Bet Fred are crooks.

I played standard BJ in the standard way - no live dealers.

The offending email is pro forma - it is something pre-prepared and sent as a part of the normal course of business. That it why I have done my best to alert the wider on-line gaming community of this organisation.

That they also promote a monthly bonus leaves me in head shaking disbelief. It is surely a trap to attract larger deposits per chance the player loses - or in the event of too many winners - the bonus abuse card is produced.

I have responded to the Casino seeking clarification of the term "bonus abuse" and promising to pursue the matter further until a satisfactory resolution is reached.

I must say I'm shocked by what they're trying to do. These guys are a high street bookmaker in the UK and I'm amazed they're trying to pull a stunt like this.

They used to have a rep on this board so hopefully Bryan will have some contact with them.

BetFred is also the official gaming partner of Manchester United. Fred Done, the owner, has a reputation for fairness.

Get the details and find out what happened.

I agree with spear on this, too much reputation to lose for such a pissy little win. I think there is more to this than is being let on.

The outstanding $440 has indeed been credited to my NeTeller account. Given comments made by others as to the good reputation of BetFred I am willing to accept some sort of error has occurred. Just how such an error could possibly happen I am not going to worry about on this day of all days.

I have a sneaky feeling a whisper in some one's ear did the trick - so if anyone from this board went into bat on my behalf then season's greetings to you my friend.

The same thing happened to me. Made some profit while clearing the wr (BJ), and they returned only my deposit while withdrawing.

The thing that they retunded your bonus+winning brings hope, but they still haven't replied to any of my e-mails.
 
Happened to me too today.

Deposited 100 got 100 bonus. Met Wagering playing blackjack. Ended up withdrawing 300 only to find an email from them a few hours later saying my account has been closed and original deposit refunded.
 
I take my previous post back.... that is all I have to say.. BetFred just became a big NONO in my list.

Thanks Cipher, I would have been here a lot sooner if I had replied to the activation email so many months ago. I got in touch with Bryan earlier who sorted me out.

But the offer is open, send me any issues on this matter and I will get onto it. I am off work tomorrow but back in the New Year on the 2nd. If you cant wait that long get in touch with our customer services department and they should know, if not Jackie knows all about it. :)
 
Just like with the intercasino thread.

Try dozens of emails, phone calls, etc with the company itself and you get flatly refused, ignored, account locked, etc

But post a complaint on a public forum and in a flash the company is running round to do a complete U-turn on weeks of so called "final decisions" and start profusely apologising.

Just wish companies would be as considerate in responding to customers themselves rather than public forums.

Cipher, if I can correct you, betfred in fact do not have "a tremendous and well deserved reputation" ... or not in a good way (if you know what I mean) ... poeple would laugh at that in the UK .... they have a long and unsavoury history of such "issues" with bonuses being whipped away once earned.

Bear in my mind they have been denying bonuses in their sportsbook and their casinos .. practically two seperate companies and certainly two totally independent bonuses ... it almost sounds like it was a policy decision. Im sure Martyn can clarify though.

Glad all the frustration and anger of the customers can end now finally. Always good to see.

I cannot speak to the bonus situation Henry as I do not play for bonuses at all. But I do know that I've never ever had even as much as a slow pay from BETFRED. If I put in for a withdrawal I'm paid in quick order and never with an excuse of any kind.

It is good that players are now being paid. However, there are still many unanswered questions. Why did this happen in the first place? In the future, will a significant portion of players need to contact with Jackie or Martyn at BetFred to be paid their winnings? Or will BJ players consistently be paid without issue?

No, you will have to beg and plead your case on every single occasion should you fluke a win at Bet Fred using a bonus. Having regard to the rapidly mounting compalints being filed on several other Forum boards the "bonus abuse" email has become standard Bet Fred fare.

Such a practice is a measure of the contempt in which Bet Fred holds it's customers. I for one are not a little bit surprised.

They hate paying bonuses once they have been earned (which is ironic considering he calls himself The Bonus King !!). BetFraud is possible a more fitting monicker.

BTW ... the title now suggests that it was all a silly muddle cheerfully resolved as opposed another case of their proven modus operandi to defraud players repeatedly.

Shouldnt folk be aware of what they try to do?

However, don't forget that there are probably lots of people who are affected by this that doesn't read this forum, so you guys will need to contact them by other means so that they can get their cash.

Friday: 140 Euro cashin (got the Bonus of 140 Euro)
Saturday: wagered above 4200 Euro, cashout of more than 500 Euro requestet
Today: Money hit my Neteller account

So I have nothing negative to say about, instant Bonus + fast cashout (as it was weekend and new year). In fact, I think that I'm going to deposit there and play till I bust or make a big win ^^

I am glad that players have been paid , I guess that was why the theread was started . But now we must move on to another point.

Aka23 asked why did this happen in the first place? I would like to know the answer o that question as well , until this is cleared up they are still shady in my list .

I am willing to put some $$ on the table that if this thread wasnt posted here , these players wouldnt have been paid , casinos shouldnt wait until we psot bad about hem to get their act together.

Martyn , I have heard alot about yur casino , I would enjoy playing there but please ler us know what the players did wrong so we can avoid oursleves the hassle . I am not a bonus player either BUT still never hurts to know

It was purely an error on our part which has now been fixed, I apologise for any inconvenience caused by this error but I can assure you that this would have been spotted even if it wasnt posted here or anywhere else for that matter. This thread did help though in drawing our attention to this error which helped us solve it in time and pay those that are due their bonuses. So if you are still willing to lay down those dollars I will send you my address! ;)

Because if they did it once.. they can do it again thats good enough a reason for me

I agree. Betfred really piss me off. They have a looked honest website and was accreditedd by CM. They are not that good.

If they know that you are not interested in the bonuses, they do not want you. They just want ot lock you in until you lose. I opened my account and told them I do not want to take part in the boneses and I ask them to verify my security documents before I deposit funds into my account. No reply at all.
