Re

I hear you.

I will remember who treated us this way. When the cards turn around,

I will make them remember how they treated us. I will also remember who

those who did not jump the gun, and my business will remain there.

I have erased all casinos that have any US clauses, even the ones for certain states. They are gone not to return to my browser.

Puzzled ..

Forgive me for asking a stupid question. But according to the T&C at the web site, you receive the bonus immediately upon deposit. If I understand this corretly, then it shouldn't be difficult to just withdraw your deposit and leave if they won't give you your bonus?
However, I think I read somewhere that Omni and Carsands got new terms recently, so this may be the reason that I am puzzled?

Yes, the bonus at Omni has recently changed. Before, the player had to wager a certain amount before the casino would put the bonus into the player's account.

Looks like Omni and Sands of the Caribbean have just recently raised their WR for their new monthly bonus.

80x the bonus (or effectively a 40x deposit and bonus WR).

Couldn't play 'em anyway, so ...

ace4suited has been spending a lot of time in the forum
OK we have seen a few sites where US players have been caught out in this way so whilst this is imperfect this is not a critisism that can be labeled solely at omni.

Also in terms of the original complainant. I had understood that BJ/pontoon only counted for the FIRST DEPOSIT at omin and that for subsequent deposits BJ games were excluded. I did not view the October bonus rules there so I cannot say what the relevant rules stated but it is not certain to me that you would have completed the bonus terms to get your funds released.

In terms of the Novermber rules then unless I am thick they are a complete mess. Of the "VP and slots bonus "
Quote:
Wagering in Mutli Hand Blackjack, Single Deck Blackjack, Baccarat, Punto Banco, Roulette or Craps do not count towards the wagering requirements. If you wish to play these games, simply deposit without entering the bonus code.
is what is stated in the general terms

This seems odd for a "blackjack and.." bonus. As has been mentioned earlier you could be talking about rewards rather than normal bonuses but in terms of normal bonuses I am not sure you would have actually completed the wagering requirements generally.

Getting beyond this tecnicality it is an akward issue. I see no reason for casinos not to give their players moderate notice (end of the month) on this issue as the Port Securities Act does not particularly change the legal position all that much and it certainly doesnt do it before it comes into force. If a bonus has not been properly cleared what should the casino do?

Personally I would feel that giving a player the fraction of their bonus thats clear + deposit + profits if they have been made and deposit less losses but plus percentage of bonus cleared*bonus would be the fairest way of doing things but I do not think they will often be under any contractual obligation to do this.

Shoddy

One point that really puts Omni in the proverbial is the reply it gave on Sunday to a query about US players being excluded from the bonus. This term was added on the 2nd, so US players depositing on the 1st should have got the bonus, retroactive changes to T & C are not popular!
On the second, this player was too late and asked what was up, the reply was something like "we are not at liberty to say why US players are excluded", nothing was said to discourage the player from depositing without a bonus, but the following day, he, and others, woke to find their accounts locked and funds trapped for a month as refunds were only being processed by check through the post (21 business days).
Omni are not the only group to do this, other casinos have one day said US OK, and pulled the plug without notice the next.
Over at GoneGambling, the question has been asked as to why US players still shun casinos that are accepting the whole US, or US bar the 11 states.
I think this tale can give an indication as to why US players are standing back and waiting for all the "plugs to be pulled" before risking playing again.
I would do the same if casinos started pulling the plug on UK players, and would want to be certain all had settled down before selecting casinos to still play at.
I still remember the shoddy manner in which Grand Privvy treated UK players, and this has given me a negative view of them, and even their eCogra seal has not changed that view. I am just waiting for them to come begging for us UK players to play on equal terms with the rest of the world now that the US market has dried up on them.
I held my grudge against Casino Rewards for TWO YEARS - Omni, and others, should bear in mind how long US players might hold a grudge should this blow over and they find they can accept US custom again.
