This doesn't really make sense. If they can't pay out a simple bonus to someone because 'they can't' also implies they can't pay out ANY money to US customers (what's the difference with a qualified bonus or your real balance anyways; nothing)
So all US customers on their sites can't get their money out at all? ![]() |

What is going on
Quote:
If the Corporate powers don't want to take U.S. players thats fine. They don't get to change the terms of a deal midway between the deal. If they want to scratch the whole deal, then they should return the deposit. The terms of the bet are set at the time of the dopsit. ANYTHING else is a reneg. I heard today the InterCasino is doing the same thing. That's nuts. And using the new Frist Law as an excuse is nuttier. That law doesn't have anything to do with the player. And it will be a long time before it takes effect. If they can pay the balance, they can pay the bonus. I hear a lot of excuses - but they make no sense. Pay the players - all of it. Stanford |

How many times does this place want to try to screw their players and yet get away with their image still in place?
This is at least the third time they've tried it on that I can remember(http://www.casinomeister.com/forums/...highlight=omni) and I see they've managed to get back onto the accredited list once more. The player met the terms to get the bonus as they were so it's a simple case of paying them it. |

Rush Job
This looks like a knee jerk rush job done at the weekend with no high calibre staff available.
This meant that on the 1st Oct, a Sunday, there had been no announcement possible from the higher ups, but it looks like the decision had already been made in September, that if the bill passed, US players would no longer be welcome. However, they kept this a corporate secret so that US players had no way of being aware on Sunday (when depositing), that because the bill was sneaked through on the ports legislation, Monday would see the plug pulled. I suspect this bonus is of the "reward" form in the Crypto software, thus is paid after wagering and is fully cashable. The correct solution is to pay the bonus, where earned before the official cut off on 2nd October, with the payouts of remaining funds in now closed US player accounts. While this may take a little longer, there is no excuse to not pay the bonus or the balance of any remaining comp points. Don't forget (casinos), this may all blow over, and your biggest market to date will remember this thorough shafting, and this will impact on efforts to re-enter the US market. Of course, you may be indicating that you really believe that there is no way that you will ever be in a position to re-enter the market, and have decided to screw every last drop from it before leaving for good. I trust that investors in your shares are not being mislead into believing that you are simply waiting for this law to be "clarified". I also recall a previous thread where a player at another Wagerlogic based casino queried the lack of bonuses for US players, and they were mislead seriously into believing it was just an issue with bonuses, such as happens if a country is deemed "abusive", just as is the case with Hong Kong. When pressed, CS told this player they were not at liberty to explain, but I suspect they knew that the decision to close US accounts altogether was the reason to shut down the bonusing. This mess allowed US players to believe that continuing to deposit on the Sunday and playing just for the tournaments and other events was OK, only to find their accounts summarily locked on Monday with a wait of several weeks likely to get any funds out. After this display of backstabbing, I can understand why there is so much fraud committed by dodgy players; they feel they are thieving from the baddies anyway, so this turns a crime into a moral duty. The one way to dent fraud is to have a reputation for bending over backwards to ensure the right thing is done, even if some creativity is needed to accomplish it, this will encourage other players to "shop" the fraudsters, just as the criminal fraternity will happily "shop" the perpetrators of certain crimes that are considered "too far", such as mugging the pensioner of their pension, rather than robbing a big faceless corporation.

All these operators who are pulling stunts right now may really regret it down the road.
They are burning bridges with the attitude that "Who cares if we screw the US players because we aren't dealing with them anymore." What will happen down the road when the overreacters realize that the law becomes unenforceable and that people are still gambling like always? Of course they will still want to tap into the lucrative US market again. I suppose many operators figure that people will just forget about the injustices and deal with them anyway. As for me and hopefully others who remember, I will never send certain companies a penny of my money, no matter how attractive the offer sounds. As of now Omni becomes one of those companies, completely ridiculous to not pay out an earned bonus on a bogus technicality. |

Well said RaiseThese
I know for dead certainty that I will never deposit again in any of the casinos that sent me the "so sorry USA player" crappy form letter. I feel as though I was surely just a nameless, formless "blob with money" to them. Man, sure wish I could have taken just one of those bad boys for a bundle!
Show some balls Omni and PAY UP !!! |

Dear USA players,
If we ever do see the day where online gambling is regulated within the States, remember the casinos who left gracefully as opposed to those who made a quick getaway and had their loyal players screwed. Do everything in your power not to let the latter back. |
