Online Bingo the DOJ’s Next Victims?

Something I like to share to the Bingo Fans

Online Bingo the DOJ’s Next Victims?

The US Department of Justice’s thirst for seizing online gamblers money and shutting down players favorite poker rooms appears to not have been satisfied. Their greed for money and need to dictate what American citizens do with their own money in their own homes has now spread to online bingo sites! Players who logged on to the popular Funtime Bingo site were greeted with the familiar Department of Justice banner greeting stating that the site has been seized by the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement & Homeland Security Investigators. The notice says that a warrant was issued by the US Attorneys office & US District Court of Maryland.

In response to this seizure, Funtime Bingo has reopened under a different domain name and has a Facebook page, which keeps players up to date with the newest news. Because of this latest development with the evil empire called the DOJ, other online bingo sites are informing their players that they are closing their doors including World Bingo Network which notified their customers that they will be closing all their sites. They have full intention to take care of their players with refunds of any deposits and cash in existing accounts but in these uncertain times the risk is too great to continue operations.

The US Government is making it extremely apparent that their days of bullying and controlling are far from over and the bingo community is their newest online target.

    Bingo and DOJ

We have to remember that all online bingo is totally unregulated and free wheeling. They do have their own way of managing, controlling and earning, so I do imagine that the onslaught of the Department of Justice is a horrid interruption in their plans. As unfair as it may appear, there is not one online bingo site that must to adhere to any US policy, requirement or restrictions related to gambling. Have people been cheated by these sites? Too many times. Do people enjoy playing online bingo? You bet! What was the first response of sites when the credit card was no longer a legal, acceptable deposit/withdraw method? They found a way around that and money processors began springing up like water in the desert. Have any of them defaulted and caused some to lose funds? You bet!~ You may not like the seizure and the governments motives for acting on gambling sites that enter the USA via the internet, but perhaps it is time for the sites to NOT have the total right to alter rules, keep funds, create new rules, dispose of players that actually win with ignorant avoidance or close accounts and keeping client cash at their option! There are consumer "users" and defrauders out there and you know you would be angry if our government allowed unscrupulous business owners to operate in this country. Our gambling industries do have monitoring agencies and groups that require a certain level of respectability and honesty for the clients and the operators. Just because you enjoy online bingo and consider it entertainment ( as some sites indicate they are ) it does not mean they should be allowed to operate in a manner that is not consistent with USA gambling law when they are earning US funds and bypassing taxes, regulations, and in some cases common courtesy and honest gaming.Online Bingo is a multi-billion dollar industry, it is not a little fun game played by home bound little old ladies and gents alone, and I think there is nothing wrong with America getting a piece of that pie! I guess it is alright for online bingo sites to bully and control, but dont they get "HOT" when our government wants to step in with the same tactics! tsk tsk!
Like it or not, that is my feeling on this matter.
