Hi Roanan and Slotking ,
Thanks for the response . I am surprised to learn that there is such a thing as a room that has an " even " playing field with players using the same number of cards . Now if I can eventually find a reputable one that will accept MoneyGram ( easily accessible at Wal-Mart here as I recall ) and sends cashier's checks for withdrawals ( and is OK for U.S. players ) I might be able to provide Mom a fun bingo online game at home . A lot of senior citizens might take advantage of that !
Thanks ,
Jamie
Let me say that the idea of fair and square originates from the concept that all players have the same number of cards, in no way does it imply that a site or game is without houseplayers, the rng is"fair" or the card distribution is not mottled or corrupted.
I do not for one second beleive that there is not an existing and mutually beneficial arrangement of some sort between software providers and site owners. Bingo is a business and does very well, thank you. I have been remided on numerous occasions that bingo is...after all, gambling. Perhaps this is true for the depositing player, but if the site had to take on the same "chances" the player had of winning, there would be a whole lot less online gambling sites.
I see sites now offering promotions for deposits of anywhere from 100.00 in a week to 2500.00 in a month. Just a few years back it seemed 50.00 was a good amount to deposit and may have offered some playing time considered a good entertainment" value. Most sites are high roller if you want to have a snowball in hell chance of winning. There are always "fluke" wins, but generally maxing out is the only way to go to stay in step with the constant and regular winners.
If you can be happy with watching the same people win in order to chat and dab your own cards, then accept that and enjoy the "entertainment only" claim that sites flaunt at you to deter any ideas that they owe you anything that resembles the probability of luck, statistically or in actuality. Get yourself a WTG AGAIN macro and get comfy.
Sites are just as greedy as players....they want to win, and they are in the catbird seat. I am not saying you cant win, but you have to crash in on bingo with big bucks and a daring soul and be prepared to take all consequences. The timid and frugal will be the fluke winners barring some authentic lucky incident.
I would love to see a site with a minimal purchase buy in for every game, even if the pots were smaller. For those who truly want to play bingo for the fun (dabbing your own cards) and anticipation( increased chance of winning) involved, without overextending yourself, making a small circle of folks your online buds, you will have a tough time locating such an animal. Online bingo is a bulti billion dollar industry and growing every day.
If you are small time player use caution, accept that your chances of winning is minimal, learn to tolerate the same people winning on a daily basis, and most importantly, read ALL the rules carefully and ask questions if needed before you give your money to strangers.
Hi Dynamitewoman ,
Wow --what a name !!
Mom and her sister used to play at a retirement center here , but some folks used so many cards that they won most of the time . It would be nice to have a simple online site , but I am not surprised that it does not exist and am not shocked that underhanded methods are used to guarantee the house the lion's share . Seems a shame since the nature of gambling usually guarantees the house to be the big winner anyway even if totally fair and random . I'll just keep taking them locally , but not where they use those machines to play bunches of cards .
Guess I'll stick with my land-based Casino since I have done pretty well there with video poker . Even felt " famous " while they had my picture on the wall two different times . Seems ages and dollars ago now , but still have fairly good wins fairly often .
Thanks girl ,
Jamie
