Stan James to offer online bingo in UK and Spain

PARLAY TO PROVIDE STAN JAMES ONLINE BINGO

UK and Spanish sites will carry latest version of Parlay product

UK and Spanish online bingo players will soon have another quality venue available. The top UK bookie Stan James has signed up for the latest in online bingo software from Canadian specialists Parlay Entertainment.

Stan James websites will launch the new online bingo offering within the next few months in the United Kingdom and Spain, where the company's Spanish partners are also owners of a large chain of land-based bingo halls.

"After extensively reviewing all the bingo suppliers in the market, we found that Parlay offers the most comprehensive solution to fit our current and future needs," said Peter Fisher, CEO of Stan James. "We're very pleased to expand the entertainment offering we can provide to our customers by partnering with Parlay, an organisation that brings a decade of online bingo experience to our team."

Steve Cook, Parlay's European managing director and ex-md of Tribeca Tables, said: "Stan James is a significant signing for us as they have signalled their intent to make bingo a key focus of their future gaming strategy. We are excited that they have recognised the unique strengths of Parlay's bingo technology. They join an impressive list of lifestyle brands using our software, including Virgin, AOL and Yahoo! Stan James has seen the huge potential for both cross-selling to its current customers while attracting new demographics and we're pleased to welcome them to the Parlay platform."

Parlay Entertainment provides its bingo software to over 180 bingo sites. In particular, the firm's UK-facing online bingo sites are expecting to see steady increases in new customer acquisitions as England's indoor public smoking ban takes effect on July 1. Similar bans have already been implemented in Wales and Scotland.

Commenting on the state of the business, Cook added: "The online bingo industry has been growing at a phenomenal pace and most industry experts predict business will double within the next two to three years. We are also seeing rapid expansion beyond the core UK market into many other European countries where bingo has traditionally been very popular."

Parlay Entertainment's 75 and 90 number multi-player, multi-platform bingo technology is used to power more online bingo sites than any other software provider in the world, the company claims. Some of the world's best-known brands use Parlay Bingo solutions, including Virgin, AOL and Yahoo. Parlay also powers two leading European bingo networks operated by St. Minver and The Gaming Network.
