Last night while playing on the Royal Vegas Poker portal another player made the comment that soon, none of the Prima Poker portals will be allowed to operate in the US or Canada.. I was shocked and tried to get more information or the sourse of his information without success. He did say it had to do with false advertising but knew no details. Him being an european player, his english was not the clearest.

I have tried searching for any news relating to this withour success. So... has anyone heard anything or know if there is anything at all in what he said is true... or better cause I like the site, if it is totally a false rumor ??

    Thanks,

    OOOPS

I think this may be a confused misinterpretation of recent news reports in the States that US online gambling media are being officially intimidated to drop online gambling material - there was a burst of these reports a couple weeks back where various portals were allegedly subpoena'd to produce details of online gambling advertising contracts.

I guess it might also be a general (confused) reference to US legislative attempts to screw-up internet gambling but that seems unlikely and would in any case exclude Canada.

Or it might be a little opposition misinformation - the poker sector is very competitive.

We have not thus far seen anything else in a factual news sense that could give rise to such a warning.
