GX Networks rose 0.62p to 7.8p after revealing - the £55m acquisition of internet company Pipex.

· It snuck onto the full list last month with barely a whimper but software group CryptoLogic is expected to get a boost over the next few weeks following meetings between the Canadian company's management and UK institutions and analysts.

The company develops games for online gambling sites as well as the back office systems that process the bets. Unlike so many other components of the TechMark, CryptoLogic actual earns the majority of its revenues from recurring royalties rather than one-off licence payments.

It is profitable, pays dividends and has $58m (£35m) in the bank.

Regulatory pressure in the US has forced the company to increase its business in Europe, where it has already signed up William Hill and Littlewoods for its poker and casino games. More deals are believed to be in the pipeline.
