It may be the case. I know this is certainly true for all MicroGaming casinos. I was once told they needed all this information for accounting and audit purposes, but it also means they can open your account right back up again for you if you get the urge to gamble!

my reasoning was it was suggested we close our accounts at the named casinos but how can we if all they do is lock the account our info is still on record so is the locking of an account good enough??

Since this casino would probably not close your account, I would suggest to just cashin whatever chips you have, and place their email addresses in your spamkiller program. This is a pathetic group of individuals who are running these sites.

I didn't ask them to close my account (ladydream and goldbetting). Ladydream already lock it anyway.

Will we get into trouble if we don't ask them DELETE our account or information (but they won't anyway.)??? Will it be just fine as long as I don't play there anymore?

    Have a good one!

This might be the wrong place to post this but the post from cherish reminded me of this.
Has anybody ever checked out the startcasino.com messageboard where they have people selling casinos, licenses, credit card processors, and other tools of the trade for casino operations???
I know casinomeister has been there, so this would be a good question also,,,,,,,,
I noticed there were several casino owners selling there cainos player names,e-mails,personal information, ect...
And they even had them priced as follows

1.The premium list that sells anywhere between $10,000 to $20,000 and it only has players who have deposited large amounts on a regular basis

2.The grabbag database list, lol, that sold from $3000 to $8,000 and contained a mixture of all types of depositing or non depositing players. A few of them even offered to sell your name and info for $3 a player lol!!!!

3.Then there was places selling whole databasis of player transactions, info, and probably there credit card info too!!!

Is this legal casinomeister??? I guess mabey it would be if you didnt read the long agreement that you agree to when signing up because your in a hurry to play that free bonus money, lol.
I just think more people need to be aware of this practice, and where there info is going,And why they suddenly sometimes get these unexplained spams in there mail from casinos they never heard of.

Buyer beware and always read the fine print. Gambling lists are a hot item; player email addresses etc. And it can be abused by the unscrupolous operator. Especially when there is no paper trail. What you need to do is create your own trail...

It's simple. Go to yahoo.com or hotmail, or any free email service and open a bunch of accounts to use only at online casinos. For instance prismcasino@hotmail.com, vegascasino@yahoo.com, whatever, and when you start getting hit by someone's spam machine, you know who is responsible. And then bust their ass!
