Contacting business development departments

I posted in the Online Casino forum, but my post was deleted - if you could suggest a more appropriate forum, I'd be glad to re-post.

Anyway, I'm a game developer at eGenesis that has spent the last year building and running a novel online casino. Because we're US based, we can't do gambling for real money. I'm trying to find a foreign partner that can. (Right now we use Bitcoins.)

I'm not a spammer, I'm not a shill of any sort - I'm the actual guy that designed and programmed the game. Every online gambling company makes it pretty much impossible to reach people other than "customer service." Email sent to every company I've tried is discarded, best that I can tell.

I was hoping that someone in business development at a non-US based gambling company might read casinomeister.com and contact me.

I expect established companies are just not interested. However, if you want to talk to the decision makes, you need to go to one of the shows, such as ICEi in London (January). Here you will get to see management, even the owners, of online gambling companies. You may also bump in to someone looking to start a casino who has come to the show looking for software.

Bitcoins is unlikely to be of interest outside of the US, any operator will be looking to support real money play, and funding channels that non-US players are familiar with and trust.

I wasn't even aware of this convention - I've just registered. Interestingly, contact info for specific exhibitors (several of the ones I've been unable to penetrate) is listed on their website.

If you are there anyway, there is the Meister Meeting. Held nearby in a pub, you will find a few operators and owners there, and it is more relaxed and social than the more formal setting of the exhibition. You should at least get some advice, even if no expressions of interest. Smaller operators and investors are probably more likely to want to try something new. The majors will have signed contracts with the big software suppliers, and invested heavily in their branding. They are unlikely to risk this for some "unknown" software.

I'll definitely swing by the Meister Meeting. I'm not actually looking to sell the software to another company, and I'm not looking for funding - all I need is someone that can host the game and deal with credit cards and other ways for players to get money in and out of the game. We'd still run it and continue developing new content.

For our other game (which is not a gambling game) I get an offer a week from some small group that wants to do just that - host the game and take care of the money end of things while we continue to run it.

I could do each piece myself - create a company offshore, find an ISP in a gambling-friendly country, find a gambling-friendly merchant account, do a bunch of legal work to make sure we're complying with US and whatever other country's laws... But all of that is totally reinventing the wheel, and it's not something I'm particularly interested in, or good at.

You could try contacting JStrike via PM. He too has designed a casino from scratch and runs it in the US using Bitcoins.
He may have some tips and tricks for you?

If you are looking to have people review your site, it's always a good idea to contact the owner or moderators before posting material about your business. If it's not laden with ad copy, the Casino Industry section would be a good start.
