New Posters and "Reputation" Points ?

How does a brand new poster with his first post already have 10 reputation points?

I don't understand it.

Does "Hi, I am here" automatically get you points?

If I remember correctly, all new members start with the ten points. There is a section here about the system.

Should be a "filter" even the spammers automatically get points.

I just read that myself but, alas, they only gave me 1 point. I have never even posted here. Not sure what that means though...

No, 32X, you do have 10 reputation points. Look in the top right corner of your post and you will see them.
