what the heck is a URL

When you wanna upload an image to the forum and need the URL how do you find this on your pc? seems like old technology to me I'm used to the browse / attach method and have never had to do this.

URL stands for Uniform Resource Locator. In other words, the address of a website. It's what you see in the address bar of your browser page.

Ie. the home page for the CM forum is:

http://www.casinomeister.com/forums

That is the URL.

Just read your post again...in that instance, for uploading images...you would need a URL if you were using an external image server, such as walagata, photobucket, etc. You have all your own images stored on that server, and each image has its own URL generated, which you can then link to on various sites, etc. You should still be able to just upload direct from your PC....dependent on size of image, etc.

Also, if you want to add a pic to your post, scroll down to Additional Options, which is just below this reply section, click on manage attachments. Then click Browse, upload your image. If it is to big you can resize it from your paint file.

This way you can skip the URL thing.
