    Direction of Forum

    Hi Bryan

I have a question born out of curiosity. I would like to know what the future direction of this forum is?
After being away for almost 2 months and although I'm still trying to catch up on threads, it just feels some things have slipped out of place.
    1. Is there more leaning towards a hand-in-hand approach with affiliates, casino managers and casino operators or
    2. Is it still building on a stronger player based forum?

Its not a smart-assed question but one of true concern.

It's just growing that's all. And with any growth you're going to have growing pains.

There have been a number of affiliate issues that have mushroomed, some spilling over to this site. The thing is the affiliate population has grown here a bit - a number of new affiliates have signed up - and a number of players have become affiliates. I would say about 98% of all affiliates have or still are players. So it's a natural development.

Casino managers and affiliate managers understand the importance of this forum, so they have been signing up - but nothing overwhelming. maybe 5-10 new ones a month. And as people come - people go.

Like any forum, it's dynamic - and when you deal with a business that is people focused (like this one), there are going to be people coming and going. Go back five or six years in some of the active threads, and you'll see a number of dormant accounts. There are members who have just moved on...but every month there are those who ask for their accounts to be re-opened. Not a prob.

I could delve into the stats, and you'll see that the make-up of players/industry folk/and webmasters is pretty balanced.

There have been some who complain that there are cliques here - well that's true with every forum. The thing is it's your forum - make it to what you want it to be. Members can refer friends or whomever to change the makeup of the site. You want more bonus beaters here? - invite them in - you want more grandmas, stoned bikers, or Bill O'Reilly fans? Tell 'em to c'mon down - the forum is open for anyone who wants to be here.

    Welcome back by the way

Thank you for replying. I was glad to see you took many points into consideration as I wasn't expecting that.
I think I'm alittle less gobsmacked now than what I was before
    And thanks for the WB

I will admit I have a disinclination to all 4 groups mentioned (probably not towards sweet Nan's, tbh), however:

Grandmas > stoned bikers > bonus beaters > daylight > more daylight > some night > daylight again > Bill O'Reilly fans.

    imo.

On the other hand.....Jon Stewart or Stephen Colbert fans - in the words of the philosopher Enimem, would you please stand up?

    -----

Pointless rambling aside, I personally like the direction this forum is taking. There are things I want to discuss which are controversial, but I will discuss them down the track I think - as they are not time-sensitive.

Nothing can be more interesting than a controversial subject being discussed. The problem seems to be that often than not they soon tend to get off track and so on.
I enjoy your posts when they are kept on track and when you haven't gotten a belly of the good stuff

Maybe someone could introduce this granny to a biker stoner?

I have to google Bill O'Reilly, so I suspect I am not a fan.
