Do you know if there are any online casinos that work with Macintosh? There used to be a few that worked using Flash, but some of those no longer do. Any suggestions?

Arrrgh, a lot of those casinos are keeerap. Madbonus for example.

Many Microgaming casinos now offer Flash.

As a general rule, the outfits that are flash only are bad. The casinos that offer flash in addition to a download option are more reliable.

You shouldn't be playing any Java sites; Java isn't secure enough.

Yep, this is my absolute quest to find a decent mac casino. It seems Peak Ent. casinos using cryptologic are the only ones I can play at with the exception of Netgaming and MadBonus both owned by the same company registered in Balize and they are the only ones that the flash works at (for me). This is really a crummy deal and now, Mary says the java games aren't secure? Wow it just gets worse. The flash on microgamming sites just bounces a thing saying I don’t have the correct version of flash 5 so I went to MicroMedia’s site* and tested my version 7 (the most current) and, of course, works fine, so I doug deep into their site and found this:

"Trouble with a particular Web site
Always verify if problems are not actually due to problems with your Flash Player, but possibly only occurring with one particular web site. Try viewing other Macromedia Flash content (for example, Macromedia. )
Many developers create detection schemes to determine if viewers have Macromedia Flash Player installed. If there is an error in the detection scheme, you may be advised that you need to update or install Macromedia Flash Player even if you already have the latest version installed and working properly. This problem with detection is beyond your control, and can only be addressed by the creator of the web site. Contact their web master for assistance."

My guess is microgamming is just doing flash for windows. So then I thought an emulation program would solve the problem until I started looking at the ram requirement and the cost of the emulation program. (Emulator runs windows on a Mac) This may be the only answer in the end game with this mac ordeal.

Sorry for the length of this, I hope we get more posts.

Peak Entertainment is Realtime Gaming, isn't it?

Sounds like Microgaming can't handle Flash 7. Hm. Have you emailed a Microgaming casinos to see if they they have a patch? Or a copy of Micromedia 5 to use? Or gone to www.microgaming.com and asked them?

I had to do some digging to find where I got Cryptologic for Peak:
    http://onlinegamblingbanking.com/cas...c-casinos.html

I did send numerous casinos using Microgaming and Microgaming themselves a detailed letter with much the same info in my earlier post but with a lot more info on my macs, my browser, my flash version, etc. NO REPLY FROM ANY (boy us mac folk are just trash to some people).

Just think what casinos will be like when Microgamming is the only gaming software out there. It will kinda be like, well, Microsoft. I believe in free enterprise and when one entity holds all the cards, better watch out, the flood (bill) gates will open.

As for Microgaming, Pitch a Bitch with the Meister and he'll get some replies from Microgaming. Silly people. They want your business, supposedly!

I eventually found a couple of sites using Cryptologic software that would work with Mac using Flash. However, the software was not what I would call player friendly, and I would have been better off if I hadn't played. I will not name them because I would not recommend that you play there even though they are on this site's approved list.

I have always been a little suspicious of software based casino games (including land-based video poker) because if the software is rigged, there is no way to tell. I also found that the practice games seemed to produce a much higher win rate than the real money games, which is in itself somewhat disturbing. Let the buyer beware!

Weird, I posed this yesterday by it didn't show up...?

Anyway, I talked in my post about the flash problem. My site (http://www.applecasinos.com) is FOR mac users, which is why I don't list any of those microgaming sites.

I even have a separate page for casinos that work best with Safari (the new Mac browser).

I love online gambling myself, I'm not a shill, and I own a Mac! So check out my site, and if you've had bad or good experiences with a Mac usable casino, let me know! I have never had a problem with Mad Bonus, which is why I have it in my top ten list for Mac users, Mary: why are they crap? If there's a problem, I definitely want to stop promoting them. Thanks you guys!
