    Facebook

    Bryan,
Have you thought about any of the Facebook plug-ins? I noticed PAL had "Connect To Facebook" which may be Facebook application compatible with vB, not sure as I know very little.

I'm sure there is probably a profile plug-in similar to the MySpace you currently offer. The demograpics and growth of FB are changing rapidly.

I realize there may be some issues that concern you but I felt more at ease to at least inquire once I saw at PAL.

Yeah, I'm sure there is (a plug-in). I'll put it on my to-do list and possibly check it out later this week.

Hey NashVegas, I was a bit confused by your question on the facebook. Would you like casinomeister to creat an actual game plugin, a connection plugin.

I have been looking at creating a few plugins myself and I have found a few info sites that are really helpful from the marketing perspective.

    1. is called adonomics, which is an open analytics and advertising platform for Facebook - this gives info on which plugins work best, so if Casinomeister wants to create a plugin, he can base a bit of the info on the provided stats. This has really helped me

    2. is http://developers.facebook.com/?ref=pf, it is in facebook, and has some really interesting info.

I hope this helped, as I have been checking this area of marketing out, and come to think of it, it could really be nice for the casinomeister forum to have a plugin.

    I hope this helped,

    Bruce

    LOL, moi confusing???

Actually the marketing opportunities for me are not an issue but as you state for others it certainly may be. I will leave that to the powers with more expertise than I.

I would at least like where one/moi could add ,if possible, access to their FB page via their CM profile. I'm not sure if the connection plug in/application would or would not be of any benefit directly to me but it was interesting to see it at PAL's forum.

I just think it would be interesting for some of the CM members to have the opportunity to learn more about their fellow CM members "so called real life". A little less dysfuctional perhaps........And of course, FB has many privacy control options and no one at CM would be required, lol , to add the profile plug in to their CM profile.

    Sorry for any confusion

Just be careful about what you post on Facebook....

...the sad thing is he was right

Eagles worker fired over Facebook rant

This is why you kids have to be careful what you post on Facebook.

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, Dan Leone, a 32-year old lifelong Eagles fan who worked as the west gate chief at the Linc on game days for the past six years, was fired because of a rant he posted on his Facebook page after the Eagles allowed Brian Dawkins to become a free agent (he later signed with the Broncos).

Here is columnist John Gonzalez's take on the matter.

Leone posted the following on his page: "Dan is [expletive] devastated about Dawkins signing with Denver. . .Dam Eagles R Retarted!!"

Within a week, he was fired. Let me also mention that Leone suffered from a neurological disorder called transverse myelitis that caused muscle fatigue and limited range of motion in his limbs, which forced him to work from a wheelchair when the pain of standing became too unbearable.

Said Leone: "I tried putting in my case to Rachel [Vitagliano, the team's guest services manager]. I told her I worked there for six years. I did whatever they asked. I only missed one Eagles game the entire time I worked there, and that was because I'm a Mummer. I told her it was my dream to work for the Eagles and that I'd never do anything like that again."

He continued: "I apologized for it. I apologized 20 million times. I never bad-mouthed the organization before. I made one mistake and they terminate me? And they couldn't even bring me into the office to talk to me? They had to do it over the phone? At least look me in the eye. To get done dirty like this, I can't believe it. I'm devastated."

The Eagles had a brief response through a representative: "The only information we can share is that Dan was a seasonal game-day employee and not a full-time member of the Eagles staff."

Personally, I'm really surprised by this harsh ruling. Wouldn't you think the Eagles would want an employee who deals with hardcore fans on a weekly basis to show the same fervor about the team as they do? I guess towing the company line is more important.
Operators: If you don't know what Transparency means, then here you go.....now how about practicing it?

Transparency, as used in the humanities and in a social context more generally, implies openness, communication, and accountability. It is a metaphorical extension of the meaning a "transparent" object is one that can be seen through. ...

Just be careful about what you post on ___________. FIXED.

Good point but if you are employed in the military or a female flight attendant, you may want to think twice about posing nude in Playboy.

It has become quite common for potential employer's to check the various social networks, search engines, etc. on potential employees. Also college admissions offices are doing the same (Whether a violation of TOS, privacy, or perhaps legal, it is occurring). Someone needs to make sure my 16 year old nephew understands the above, lol.

Although a FB virgin, ironically I have a long time Eagle (now a free agent recovering from knee surgery) friend that I have re-connected with via FB.
I'll convey your sentiments towards the Eagles.....Be careful what you post anywhere, it's that 6 Degrees of Separation striking again,LOL

No worries, my lips are sealed or is it my hands are tied

And I'll be damn if it did not strike soon after this post......What are the chances that a long time CM member (that I do not ever recollect cooresponding with on the forum) would also actually be a real friend of this long time NFL player??? Yep,"slim and none" is alive and well especially considering the small amount of time I have spent on Crackbook. A short story how I figured out our common friend and common interest at CM. Kinda neat having a chat with the first person on Crackbook that I did not actually know other than a CM username........Actually, the second "it really is a small world" occurence in a week.
