Casinomeister - your knowledge is needed..

    Hi,

as you deal a lot with the casinos and software providers, maybe you can answer me a question I asked to MG and Playtech and never got an answer:

As we all know, there are rogue casinos out there. Most comes from no paying winnings. But what does the software providers ( and I mean the big ones, eg MG, Playtech, RTG) to guarantee, that some of their licensees doesn't manipulate the outcome of the games ? For example, use their own rogued RNG or put in worse payout percentages to slots or use cheating BJ algorithms a.s.o.

Can you share some backgroung knowings ??

The quick and simple answer is that the operators don't have access to the gaming servers. In most cases they are hosted in secure environments away from the actual casino operation. The casino operators are responsible for managing the casino's support, finances, and marketing.

    Ahh, thx for the answer.

I thought it must be like that.

But what I do not understand then is, for Playtech for example, why I am connected to different IP's from different countries when playing in different casinos. I don't mean the connections to port 80 a.s.o., where the casino is loaded a.s.o. After playing a while, you are only connected to one IP, where the numbers come from. And I backtraced them to different countries, but ALWAYS to a server from Kahnawake IT (if the casino is licensed by them).

So, do you know how does this work ? Must they have their servers all around the world ?
For Playtech, I found Kahnawake servers in Canada (of cos) and Belize (?).

Why are theese not Playtech owned IPs ?
