    Washington State Online Gambling Ban

    Bryan-
As I'm sure most of the online casino world has heard, Washington State passed a law making internet gambling a felony punishable by jail time. My question to you is will the online casino/pokerrooms file any lawsuits against Washington State for, what I think is an unconstitutional law? And if not, what will the online casino world (which has plenty of money to fight this sort of stuff) do about this?

My gut feeling is that they (the pokerrooms, casinos, etc.) will just move on and let the Washingtonians hash this out themselves. Most of these businesses are focusing more on Europe anyway since European laws are much more progressive than the US'. It's unfortunate that the US lawmakers don't understand that regulating these businesses is the only way to protect people from unscrupulous operations. There are obvious politically fueled agendas at work. It has nothing to do with protecting anyone. What a sham(e).

Angry Shameful action in Washington State

I was shocked when I heard about Washington States new law. People who molest and rob banks get less time than what has been mandated for online gambling. Legislators said they passed the law to protect the people of Washington's financial assets which can be lost because of gambling addiction. We dont need the government protecting our assets, thats our job. Now, if they want to regulate the industry, help us weed out dishonest sites, now thats something they can focus on. Washington residents (and other states because you are next) can write to their reps and even start writing to the newspapers - read local washington blogs about the connection to Land Casinos - The sponsor of the Bill has a 25 page history of donations from Land Casino connections.
