Any suggestions appreciated.

Well... it sound like your idea is actually a kind of pick-and-mix from what is out there...
In terms of odds and strategy, there is probably no better than Michael Shackleford's site -
http://www.wizardofodds.com In it he talks about pretty much every online
BJ type of game available with specific strategy and odds for every variation of the game you can think of.
Messageboards are more and more popular nowadays, but I don't think I've found one with specific talk around
BJ. Having said that - is there enough to say about
BJ for a whole chat board devoted to it?
Again, with reviews, there are a number of sites with these. My old site had very in-depth reviews of 1500+ words per review (see
http://www.gamblingfamily.com/reviews.php). However, they were not just
BJ orientated, but again I question whether there is enough to write.
Many successful sites look at more than just a specific topic (i.e.
BJ). However, it may be there is a niche market for your idea... and one thing I would say is that 'content is king' - i.e. if you come up with something original that people like, they will visit and return and your site will be a success!
Good luck if you decide to follow through, and if you want to question me further about anything, just let me know (post a reply or something!).
Cheers,
Ben.
