Genting Singapore was opened in Feb 2010. Sands Singapore will open on the 27th April 2010.

Both Resorts World (Genting) and Marina Bay Sands are open now. I've been to the Sands - not bad. Not the greatest selection of slots, and only a few different types of table games. Don't bother if you want to play video poker, there's only one bank of VP machines and they are terrible. No poker tables, nor are any planned at present.

Will try and visit Resorts World later.

Visitors gain free entry to the casinos, but you must produce your passport. Singaporeans and permanent residents must pay a S$100 gaming levy per 24 hours, which can be pre-purchased or bought onsite - or they can pay an annual levy of S$2000 instead.

Personally I prefer Marina Bay Sands casino cos it is more high class and more spacious...

There is a Singapore version of stud poker which I love to game each time I go there...

Insurance baccarat might be something new to you guys, it is available at Resorts World Sentosa casino. Due to the growing response from gamblers in cruise ships, the casino has insurance baccarat tables in vip areas. On top of that, both Resorts World Sentosa casino and Marina Bay Sands are having the Pai Gow(Chinese Dominoes) game. It's fun if you understand how to play!

Paigow is easy to play. You need to memorise each of the 32 tiles and their ranking. Each player gets 4 tiles and arranges them in pairs against the tiles of the banker. My friend was so obsessed with the game he entered all possible combinations into a computer program and set a recommended setting for each combination of tiles. Mahjong is much more difficult and is used to cure azheimer's disease as it trains your brain in many aspects.

That's interesting I'll even let the resurrection of an old thread pass go this time

As a side-note, in a couple of days it will be the anniversary of Ted's passing so quite apt that this thread has re-surfaced.
