Yeah they are a bit more picky than most, and don't really care for articles that are too self-promoting. It's best to just make them happy with a good informative article with no links, and then put both of your links in the author resource box.

UPD: How many articles you would suggest to post here? As much as possible, or just few to obtain more link juice from the site?

Recently watched a video from Hubspot about how many blogposts are needed. The answer isn't conclusive, but they adviced to submit at least 25, but prefer 50-100 for the best results.
Also important is to post regularly. Posting 100 articles in a few months and then stop for a long time will harm the seo results.
