LOCK POKER IN DAMAGE CONTROL MODE?

Online Casino News

10 May 2013

Amid accusations of slow-pay, speculation mounts that Revolution network flagship could be in financial trouble

Lock Poker has been in the industry media headlines and a topic for discussion on poker message boards recently for all the wrong reasons. For months there have been allegations of slow-pay tactics and interference with player-to-player money transfers, and growing speculation that the company may be experiencing financial problems, but is still accepting deposits.

Earlier this week, the site lost two of its sponsored pros when Paul Volpe and Chris Moorman elected not to renew their contracts with the beleaguered poker site. Both players issued statements via Twitter to announce their departure.

Also this week, the respected poker forum twoplustwo held discussions with the company after it agreed to halt on-site promotions and advertising until the various complaints had been addressed and explained (see previous InfoPowa reports).

In an indication that Lock Poker owner and CEO Jennifer Larson has perhaps moved into damage control mode, the information portal Gambling911 announced Friday that Larson has agreed to an exclusive interview during which she will address the issues surrounding her company.

Larson told 911 that her company is "in top financial standing and hopes to have payment processing issues resolved in the coming weeks."

She also commented: “Lock temporarily was not allowing players to cash out transferred funds. They could of course always cash of (sic) funds they have won via play on the site. Those persons with accounts that have accepted large P2P transfers are being reviewed on a case by case basis when cash outs are requested.”
