CASINOMEISTER’S PLAYER COMPLAINTS SUMMARY ANNOUNCED

For immediate release

The Casinomeister player complaints summary for 2014 has been posted. These player complaints, also known as “Pitch a Bitch” or PAB for short, encompass the complaints received by Casinomeister from its members. Casinomeister comprises of one of the largest player communities on the Internet.

There were a total or 229 complaints processed through the PAB system in 2014. Max Drayman, PAB manager, has summarized the complaints as follows:

There was a significant up-tick in the number of “irregular betting”/”spirit of the bonus” cases. This is becoming a serious problem.
Microgaming/Malta casinos seem to have earned the “Raspberry Award” for being the most complaint-worthy casinos this past year.
The number of PAB cases was down about 20% from 2013, but the typical value of claims was noticeably higher.
The “self-exclusion” scams reported in 2013 continued through the first part of 2014, tapered off significantly toward the end of the year.
There is a disturbing trend toward “piss off, talk to my regulator” type responses from casinos. If these regulators were worth a damn — often they are not — that might mean something, but as it stands it usually just means “please throw your complaint into this black hole, goodbye”.

The total value of resolved cases for 2014 was $600,000+ (530,000+). Further information can be found here: https://www.casinomeister.com/pitchabitch/full-year_summary_2014.php

About the PAB service: The “Pitch a Bitch” service is a cyber discourse between disgruntled players and casino operators to which we facilitate. We will contact casino operators on the player’s behalf anticipating an acceptable resolution to the player’s complaint. It is a free service that has been invaluable to the player community for over a decade.

They kept driving on with players in mind – no reverse time, less than two hour payments, and no payout limits.”

ClubUSA Casino took the honors for “The Best Casino of 2014 – US Friendly.” “they are always right there when you need them when it comes to taking care of their players. They provide professional, articulate player support, their promotions are solid, and their affiliate program is responsive and topnotch….”

Best New Casino of 2014 was given to Videoslots.com, “During 2014, there was only one formal complaint submitted to Casinomeister concerning Videoslots…and it was a bogus complaint submitted by a fraudster.”

Affiliate Edge won the Best Affiliate Program 2014. “They not only provide their affiliates with one of the best laid-out affiliate back-ends, they host some of the best managed casinos online.”

TEN YEARS OF CASINOMEISTER

Casinomeister.com is ten years old this month, June 2008 – a milestone in the turbulent online gaming industry.

A decade online: Casinomeister has never wavered from its initial mission established a decade ago: “Trust is what it’s all about. Our mission at Casinomeister is to provide solid information; information that enables players to make smart choices. Since trust is spawned by information, the more players know about online casinos, the more at ease and safer they will be.”

Since these words were first published, Casinomeister has proven to be instrumental in bringing trust, credence, and a level playing ground for the online gaming community. Ten years of information is available at Casinomeister: an extensive list of rogue and not recommended online casinos, tips on how to spot dodgy casino operations, how to fight spam, a player’s guide on how to select an online casino, and a forum that has proven to be one of the most active and productive forums in the online gaming community.

Casinomeister regularly publishes one of the most prolific newsletters for both players and industry folk which are archived on the site. A semi-frequent webcast is produced in Casinomeister’s studio which includes Vortran007 – Casinomeister’s trusty warning robot and comical sidekick. The information that is gathered throughout the year is compiled and rejuvenated into the popular “Best and Worst in Online Gaming.” Awards are bestowed upon the excellence and the rogue in the online gaming industry.

Additionally, as a service to the online gaming community, Casinomeister offers its “Pitch a Bitch” where players can submit complaints concerning a casino or poker room operation. The complaint is fast-tracked to the right person at that establishment who has the power to resolve the matter sufficiently.

In an industry that still remains to be relatively unregulated, Casinomeister has shown that information empowers the player community in order to make wise decisions when it comes to online gaming. We’re looking forward to the next ten years in Casinomeisterland.

Casinomeister 2007 Awards announced

The Casinomeister Awards for the online casino industry have been posted for the year 2007 at Casinomeister.com (https://www.casinomeister.com). These anticipated awards are held by many to be some of the most important and prestigious awards given to online gaming companies.

32Red Casino took the honors for the fifth year in a row for “Best Casino of 2007.” Bryan Bailey, administrator and presenter of the awards states: “Solid as a rock – that’s the best way to describe 32Red Casino. They have won the Best Casino award more than any other online casino – ever. There are many really good casinos and a few top-of-the-line operations, but none have been able to pass 32Red up on their consistent strive for excellency; 32red is exceptional in every aspect.”

The Jackpot Factory Group was awarded the “Best Casino Group Award” for the first time. Bailey states: “The Jackpot Factory proved that it has what it takes to be an outstanding casino group. During this past year, players often expressed their relief and gratitude to the Jackpot Factory group; it had truly focused its energies on player satisfaction.”

The UK Gambling Commission received Casinomeister’s “Milestone Award” award for the year. “This progressive development opened the way to true and responsible regulation of Internet gambling in the UK. They have also reinforced the integrity of UK regulation with their whitelist for UK advertisers. This resulted in significant movement to whitelist jurisdictions, and frantic attempts by others to smarten up their previously lackadaisical approach to player protection.”

But the awards are not all praise. There are the “worst” of the year awards as well. Hippojo Casino received the award for the worst player experience of 2007: “What started out as an exciting endeavor – the launching of a casino by a few well-entrenched and highly knowledgeable members of the online casino industry – mutated into a pear-shaped blob. Shortly after launching, they seemed to go into a tail spin. The stopped paying players and their affiliatesplayers were given the run around, I was given the run-around, in fact anyone who tried to get involved in sorting anything out was led into circles. They simply stopped paying their customers and did a faceplant on the cyber casino sidewalk”

Other awards include Best Software Supplier, Worst Software Supplier, Head in the Sand Award, Stupid Casino Tricks, and much more. https://www.casinomeister.com/bestworst2007.php

New Forum Moderator and Complaints Manager

WELCOME MAX DRAYMAN – NEW CASINOMEISTER MODERATOR

Max Drayman, the venerable moderator of Winneronline, has found a new home. He is now the official moderator of the Casino Complaints section of Casinomeister’s forum – and general moderator of all.

With nearly ten years under his belt of online casino forum administration, he is equipped with the knowingness to be a true asset to this forum. He is well known to both players and casino operators since he has been involved with player issues since the beginnings of the online casino industry.

He will also be taking over Casinomeister’s “Pitch a Bitches” beginning December, and will be the main point of contact for casino complaints that pass through Casinomeister.

Max Drayman stated, “It’s my great pleasure to join Bryan and the crew here at Casinomeister. As I believe Bryan has mentioned I’ll be tackling the Pitch-A-Bitch and Complaints sections which will be a welcome challenge for me. After many years of seeing the biz from what might be called the “chateau” side of things it’ll be quite an experience to be in the trenches for a change.

I’m looking forward to meeting those challenges and contributing to Casinomeister’s reputation for excellence.”

About Casinomeister’s Forum: It’s a watering hole of sorts for those who have a thirst for knowledge of online gaming. It has been active since June of 1998 and some of the most prolific and accomplished patrons of online casinos make this their regular posting grounds. Popular sections include Online Casinos and Poker, Online Casino Industry section, Casino Complaints, Skill Gaming, Bingo, and section for webmasters. Besides the +8000 active members, there are +150 I-Gaming Representatives who represent more than 300 properties and over ten software providers.

Casino Complaints: Our “Pitch a Bitch” section was developed so that the free flow of information, both good and bad, would protect the consumer. It has been open since July 2001, and anyone can submit a complaint concerning an online casino or poker room. It will be directed to the right person at that establishment who has the power to resolve the matter sufficiently. The mission of this section is to provide information and post complaints to help eradicate fraud.

Casinomeister October 2007 Round-Up

October 2007 proved to be a lively month concerning the state of the online casino and poker industry and the international community that is involved with it.

Casinomeister’s Forum In October, there were 622 new threads, 7932 new posts, and 207 new members – six of whom were Casino Representatives. Some of the more popular threads in October dealt with the Absolute Poker fiasco; cheating players and being audited by their licensing agency. It is noteworthy that registrations and postings have increased substantially since June 2007. New threads and postings have increased up by about 70% throughout the late summer and early fall months.

Casino Complaints: There were 31 formal complaints submitted at Casinomeister’s “Pitch a Bitch” section up until 24 October. The PAB section was shut down on this date due to many of the “complainers” failing to read the instructions about submitting complaints about known rogue casinos, or submitting complaints that were fraudulent. Over half of the complaints concerned casinos operated from Costa Rica, seven concerned properties located in Kahnawake. Like previous months, the majority of these complaints were from players located in the US who are having difficulty receiving their winnings, or who are playing at known unlicensed rogue casinos which are doing as they please.

The Rogue Section: Absolute Poker was added to the rogue section for gross negligence. One of their employees was able to access a “super user” account and cheated a number of players. The poker room was warned for several weeks by players, but took no decisive action until the news was covered on MSNBC, the NY Times, and on the Wizard of Odds website.

Atlantic Vegas Casino was also added to the rogue section for displaying a “Licensed by Alderney” logo that they were unauthorized to display. The licensing jurisdiction confirmed that the casino was not one of their licensees. Since then, the logo has disappeared from the casino website, but the casino will remain in the rogue section indefinitely.

Accredited Casino Section: There were two new members in October: Global Player rejoined our accredited section after a sabbatical for several months (change of software etc.), and a relatively new casino and poker room came on board: Eurolinx Ltd. which is using a Microgaming platform for its poker room and Net Entertainment for its casino.

New Sections at Casinomeister: Casinomeister relaunched the infamous Rogue section so that all “Rogue”, “Not Recommended”, “Casino Cautions”, and other notable categories are included on one page. This allows users to make more effective searches.

Casinomeister July 2007 Round-Up

July 2007 proved to be a highly informative and busy month concerning the state of the online casino industry and the international community that is involved with it.

Casinomeister’s Forum is probably one of the most enduring and respected forums on the internet that deals with the online gaming industry. In July there were 634 new threads – up from 373 new threads in June. There were 8514 new posts – up from 5190 new posts in June. And there were 246 new members – up from 161 new members in June – eight of whom are Casino Representatives. Some of the more popular threads in July dealt with how long players’ deposits last at differing casino software platforms, what members find most annoying, and busting out casino shills and fraudsters.

Casino Complaints: There were 22 formal complaints submitted at Casinomeister’s “Pitch a Bitch” section: seven of these were from casinos that have been blacklisted at Casinomeister; 5 complaints were resolved in the player’s favor; there was one PAB instance of player fraud, and several complaints are still pending.

The Rogue Section: Connect-to-casino found themselves in the rogue pit for their unresponsiveness due to bouncing emails. Golden Arch Casino was also added for placing “lines of credit” in players’ accounts, and then billing them later. RoccoCasino is the “Rogue of the Month” for lifting ad copy from several casino sites, and then sending its manager and shill players to Casinomeister’s forum to explain these irregularities.

Accredited Casino Section: There were four new members in July: World Poker Tour (Cryptologic), Betfair Casino (Chartwell), and Get Minted Casino (WagerWorks), and CentreBet (Playtech) joined Casinomeister’s “Accredited List”. No casinos were removed from the accredited list in July.

New Sections at Casinomeister: In July, the “new sections” were mainly in the forum: a statistics section that displays the newest members, members with the most referrals, recent postings, top thread starters, and a list of the most popular threads amongst other things; a new section was created so that new members can introduce themselves; another section was created where members can give feedback and suggestions about the forum at large.

Casinomeister June 2007 Round-Up

June 2007 proved to be a highly informative month concerning the state of the online casino industry and the international community that is involved with it.

Casinomeister’s Forum is probably one of the most enduring and respected forums on the internet that deals with the online gaming industry. In June there were 373 new threads, 5190 new posts, and 161 new members – six of whom were Casino Representatives. Some of the more popular threads in June dealt with quitting gambling, developing the most “ingenious” slots, and complaining about the Virtual Casino group.

Casino Complaints: There were 31 formal complaints submitted at Casinomeister’s “Pitch a Bitch” section. Nearly half of the complaints concerned casinos operated from Costa Rica, eight concerned properties located in Kahnawake. The majority of these complaints were from players located in the US who are having difficulty receiving their winnings.

The Rogue Section: The Fortune Lounge group was moved from the coveted “Rogue” section to the “Bumblings, Blunders and Negligence” section. This listing is reserved for casinos that commit acts of serious stupidity or fail to protect their players from software bugs, stolen data-bases, or other forms of doltish goof-ups.

Accredited Casino Section: There were two new members this month: Blue Square Casino (Wager Works), and Grosvenor Casino (Playtech). Skillground, an established skill gaming site that can take US players, joined Casinomeister’s “accredited” skill games section. No casinos were removed from accredited list in June.

New Sections at Casinomeister: Casinomeister launched the entire FAQ, Rogue Section, Casinomeister Complaints, and other “good to know” online casino information in Simplified Chinese. This is geared towards our Chinese speaking friends abroad – and includes Casinomeister “Accredited Casinos” that are 100% localized in Chinese with Chinese support.

Other new sections in June: Donate Now: a list of charities where players can donate their extra winnings. RTG list: A list of all known Real Time Gaming casinos and points of contact, in case players have problems (most of these casinos are unlicensed = no safety net for players). Casinomeister’s Annual Bierfest: anyone 21 or over can win free beer or cash at the Bierfest which lasts until the end of September.

Casinomeister 2006 Awards announced

The Casinomeister Awards for the online casino industry have been posted for the year 2006 at Casinomeister.com (http://www.casinomeister.com). These anticipated awards are held by many to be some of the most important and prestigious awards given to online gaming companies.

32Red Casino took the honors for the fourth year in a row for “Best Casino of 2006.” Bryan Bailey, administrator and presenter of the awards states: It’s the people behind the casino. 32Red are trailblazers of transparency in an industry full of secrecy and cloaking devices. Long before it became vogue to go public, 32red made no secret who was behind this well oiled machine. CEO Ed Ware understands not only the day-to-day workings of an online casino, he understands the necessity of player trust. Player trust is indispensable to this industry. Player trust cannot rely solely on a software platform, a licensing jurisdiction, or a stamp of approval – it relies on the activities of the people behind the scenes.

Trident Entertainment Group was awarded the “Best Casino Group Award” for the second year in a row. Bailey states: Their overseer is truly a no-nonsense operator who will go to the ends of the globe to ensure that her properties are treating players fairly and responsibly. Always on the alert when a player may have an issue, and never reluctant to admit her staff may have made a mistake, players are ensured that they will have fair and honest treatment at the Trident properties. These casinos are solid and have earned their position as the Best Casino Group of 2006

Intercasino received Casinomeister’s “Milestone Award” award for the year. “Intercasino celebrated its 10 year anniversary in 2006, and I can honestly say that for ten years Intercasino has been constant as a respectable, high-principled, and conscientious online casino. The online gaming industry is a turbulent one, and Intercasino has weathered every storm it has passed through without skimping on player needs.”

But the awards are not all praise. There are the “worst” of the year awards as well. The Sunny Group received the award for the worst casino group: “They were one of the pioneers of the industry – one of the first Microgaming casinos, and in fact awarded the “Best Casino Group” of 2001 here at Casinomeister. But over the past few years, they’ve slipped into bizzarro-land”

Head in the Sand Award 2006

This award is given to operations that seem to rely on the premise if you ignore a problem long enough, it’ll go away. This was awarded to the entire industry that failed to prepare for the prohibition minded US legislature. This award goes to every entity that busied itself with spending millions of dollars per month on advertising and stupid marketing gimmicks when they should have been directing their resources on protecting their businesses and their employees.

Other awards include Best Software Supplier, Worst Software Supplier, Worst Player Experience, Stupid Casino Tricks, and more. https://www.casinomeister.com/bestworst2006.php

Casinomeister 2005 Awards announced

The Casinomeister Awards for the online casino industry have been posted for the year 2005 at Casinomeister.com (http://www.casinomeister.com). These anticipated awards are held by many to be some of the most important and prestigious awards given to online gaming companies.

32Red Casino took the honors for the third year in a row for “Best Casino of 2005.” Bryan Bailey, owner operator of Casinomeister states: To put it simply, this casino has classin this business, trust and reputation are everything – without this, you have nothing. 32Red’s CEO Ed Ware has a high profile and is very personable with his players. His honesty and modesty are noteworthy when it comes to answering players’ questions and handling whatever issues they may have. 32Red casino is a prime example of a casino that gives this industry credence, and their formula is simple: treat your players better than you would expect yourself to be treated.

Trident Entertainment Group was awarded the “Best Casino Group Award.” Bailey states: Trident Group takes this award hands down. This casino group has the best run casinos in cyberland. The customer service shines above their peers, and up and beyond this – this group has one of the most experienced operators in the business – who will personally ensure that every one of her customer’s needs are met. This woman is amazing.

Intercasino received Casinomeister’s “Humanitarian” award for the year. “Intercasino deserves a hearty round of applause for stepping up to the plate and donating $111,000 to Unicef’s Children’s relief fund for the tsunami tragedy.” Besides Intercasino, a number of other online gaming groups are listed as participating in making large donations to relief efforts.

But the awards are not all praise. There are the “worst” of the year awards as well. Windows Casino received the award for the worst casino group: “Windows Casino Group is probably one of the last “cowboy mentality” casinos out there This casino group feels that players are impressed with hyperbole and fancy awards. For years, they have embellished themselves with awards and patted themselves on the back with “approval” from fake watchdog sitesthese were tactics from a by-gone era: attempt to instill player trust with deceit.

iGlobalMedia received a “Head in the Sand Award” for 2005: “High fives all around to iGlobalMedia which has gone nearly a full year without addressing serious software issues.” Since December of 2004, screen shots of software glitches have been presented to iGlobalMedia, but they have never been really fully explained.

Other awards include Best Software Supplier, Worst Software Supplier, Best Player Experience, Biggest Disappointment of 2005, Stupid Casino Tricks, and finally the “Evil Player Award” for blatant player fraud. https://www.casinomeister.com/bestworst2005.php

About Casinomeister: Casinomeister.com is the online casino watchdog covering online casinos and poker rooms. It is one of the oldest online casino information sites, and has been reporting on casino related issues since 1998. Ad Space Auction for Tsunami Victims at Casinomeister and Got2bet

Ted Loh of Got2bet.com and Bryan Bailey of Casinomeister.com are auctioning off a prime banner space on their respective websites; the highest bidder will own that space for twelve months and 100% of the closing bid will be donated to UNICEF in order to help the flood victims in Asia.

“With the amount of money that this industry can churn out, I’m sure that some of these casino groups can pool their resources and really make a difference. We can probably save some lives this way,” says Bailey – operator owner of Casinomeister. Ted Loh, who lives in Thailand, agrees and has been painstakingly involved with http://www.onethailand.com, his Thailand Tsunami information website as well.

Both operators are optimistic that players will motivate their favorite casinos to get involved and participate in the auction. This auction will close in seven days and is located here: http://www.casinomeister.com/cgi-bin/auction/auction.pl.

Casinomeister’s Mission

It has been estimated that nearly 20 billion dollars will be wagered on online gaming sites worldwide in the year 1999. Meanwhile, Germany continues to become the fastest growing online community in Europe. These circumstances have brought about the development of Casinomeister (http://www.casinomeister.com), the only online information site in both English and German language.

Online gambling is still a controversial issue. Some countries prohibit their citizens from gambling online, while other countries choose not to discourage online gaming. Most online casinos are located offshore in the Caribbean, in Australia, South Africa, and other spots around the globe. So anyone who has access to the Internet can play online, and obviously, there are risks involved.

The chance of losing money online is a risk that most gamers accept. People who play online expect to lose every so often just like in any real casino. Once a player logs on to an online casino, she can start an account which normally includes submitting her credit card number. Some casinos prefer to use third-party account holders like Cryptologic which maintain a specified balance in the holder’s account, or a bank where the player deposits an international money order. Nevertheless, the trepidation most gamers feel is not from the risk of drawing a bad hand, but from not knowing whether or not their winnings will be honored. This is where Casinomeister plays a significant role.

We honestly believe that trust is a primary element of any gaming activity, whether it be offshore or in an establishment in Vegas. Trust is what it is all about. Our mission at Casinomeister is to promote cyber-gaming as a safe and enjoyable form of entertainment. Since trust is spawned by information, the more a gamer knows about an online casino, the more at ease he will feel. Our online database allows casinos to enter data that includes not only the games they offer, but information regarding ownership, contact, and how payments are made. This database is relatively new, but as more online casinos opt to join, it will become an invaluable resource for the online gamer.

We further strive to explain ways to allow the gamer to play better and win more money online. We have posted a gaming “tips” page which includes general advice on playing online to tips that are game-specific. Many of the online casinos post the winnings of their top players, and these can also be found on our “winnings” page. Players will play if they know where they can win.

We act as a service to the gamer by presenting a forum where visitors can have an open dialogue amongst themselves, sharing their positive and negative experiences with online gaming and certain casinos. Many casinos regularly visit the forum in case their customer service department has let someone fall through the cracks. We’ve had several incidences where misunderstandings were cleared up between casinos and their players because they visited our site.

Casinomeister is the only online-casino news, links, gaming tips website that is designed for the German/English speaking cyber-gamer. We have a newsletter that is sent out to subscribers twice a month and is available in both languages. In the future, we plan to run contests which allow the winners to receive complimentary chips from the major online casinos. And, as the site grows, we will always be looking into different methods in which we can serve the international online gaming community.
