UK PoC Tax Will Soon Apply to Free Plays and Bonuses

It’s back!
A levy on free plays and bonuses was originally part of the March 2016 Finance Bill but was scrapped before the recent general election.
Now, the government confirms that it intends to bring back the levy in September after the summer recess.
No matter when the Finance Bill is passed, companies are advised to take note as a retrospective payment provision will be applied dating to August 1, 2017.
This free plays and bonus tax is expected to pull in roughly 75 million pounds per year for the British government.
