UK Exit for Guts

The online casino and poker room operator Guts have this morning informed their UK customers that they are exiting the UK market, from 9th December next month, whereby both the casino and poker operations in the UK will cease to accept new deposits.
The news comes on the heels of the closure of the Guts Sportsbook operation in the UK. Earlier this year in February 2020, Gaming Innovation Group offloaded their B2C operations of which it included Guts, to fellow operator Betsson for a financial consideration of €31m.
There was some confusion this morning as to whether Guts would be closing its doors to all markets, with a thread on the forum here at Casinomeister suggesting that this may indeed be the case.
However, a member of the Casinomeister team has since been in touch with Guts management, who have confirmed that the closure of Guts Casino and Poker operations affects the UK only.
The exiting of Guts from the UK market place follows that of several other operators in recent times, who have reached the decision to concentrate their efforts in other territories and jurisdictions.
At the time of writing, we have just also heard that another Betsson owned casino in the form of Kaboo online casino will also be leaving the UK.
