Australian gambling group appoints Bruce Akhurst and Vickki McFadden to its board of directors
Tabcorp Holdings Limited announced Wednesday that Bruce Akhurst and Vickki McFadden have been appointed to its board as Non-Executive Directors, subject to the receipt of the necessary regulatory and ministerial approvals.
Akhurst is currently executive chairman of global digital advertising and technology services firm Adstream. He was CEO of Sensis Pty Ltd from 2005 to 2012 and a director and chairman of Foxtel. He also spent seven years as group managing director and group general counsel at Telstra and prior to that was a partner at Mallesons Stephen Jaques. He currently serves as a director of Paul Ramsay Holdings and the State Library of Victoria and is a council member at RMIT University.
McFadden is currently chairman of Eftpos Australia Payments Pty Ltd, president of the Takeovers Panel and a Non-Executive Director of Myer Family Investments Pty Ltd. She was chairman of Skilled Group prior to its acquisition by Programmed Maintenance Services in 2015, and was previously a Non-Executive Director of Leighton Holdings.
Prior to commencing her Non-Executive Director career, McFadden was managing director, Investment Banking at Merrill Lynch Australia. She is also a member of Chief Executive Women and a member of the advisory board and executive committee of the UNSW Business School.
Tabcorp chair Paula Dwyer welcomed the appointment of oth new directors, commenting:
