September Set To Be A Bumper Month For Poker

Hundreds of competitions and tens of millions of dollars in guaranteed prize pools

Online poker fans can look forward to a spectacular September as the top online poker operators compete for their attention with a string of 900 online poker tourneys carrying guaranteed prize pools and other rewards totalling almost $118 million.

Over a three week period separate events are scheduled from PokerStars, 888Poker, Winamax and PartyPoker, providing a wide range of choices.

* Sunday September 3 – 26 will see PokerStars leading the tournament charge with its popular World Championship of Online Poker, featuring over 160 events and overall prize pool guarantees of $60 million;

* PartyPoker is fronting prize pool guarantees of $35 million in its 330 Powerfest events scheduled for 3 to 24 September, with no less that ten events carrying million dollar pools;

‘ French operator Winamax will be attracting international fans with its September 3 to 14 series of 129 events, and has invested Euro 11 million in overall guaranteed prize pools, with at least two competitions offering million dollar pools;

* 888Poker is pushing the boat out with the latest edition of its XL series, this one running September 10 – 24 and titled XL Eclipse. The operator has put up $9.2 million in prize pool guarantees across the 197 events.
