Playtech Claims A Czech First With Launch Of Fortuna Online Casino

First to go live in newly regulated Czech market

Playtech plc has claimed that its client Fortuna Entertainment is the first to go live with a licensed online casino in the newly regulated Czech market.
On February 24th the Czech Ministry of Finance granted Fortuna the country’s first ever licence to operate ‘online technical games’. The operator has since gone live with a large selection of Playtech’s online and mobile slot and table game content and progressive jackpot titles including the Age of the Gods portfolio and other favourites including Gladiator and White King.
Fortuna will gradually expand this in the coming months, a statement Friday from Playtech revealed..
In August 2016 Playtech agreed a contract with Fortuna to supply it with a scalable, omni-channel platform and wallet technology enabling it to accelerate its gaming strategy across sportsbook, gaming and CRM and become a leading regulated operator in the Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) region.
Since then, both companies have worked closely together to launch in Romania and plan to broaden the offering across further markets, including Poland and Slovakia in the future.

“Granting this licence means that Fortuna has become the first multiproduct (sports and games) gaming company in the Czech market. Our new online casino and aggressive games expansion is crucial to growing the business and means the Fortuna product offering will be comparable to some of Europe’s largest operators.”
